some chav unhooked my brake and i dint notice, untill i went down a hill

I'll play it safe and suggest Shimano Hone or Saints.
You get the bottom bracket with those and the chainset.

Hone is good enough for most riding or Saints if you want extra strength or if you're a heavy rider.

i wouldnt go for hone or saints unless you do freeride/downhill/maybe jumping. i am presuming you are just an everyday rider, who mainly do all mountain and therefore i recomend... Shimano XT, although, the rings are like cheese

heh, downhill cranks for œ20 [:D] pull the other one!

you won't get anything that'll last long *read: last at all* for downhill with your budget.
