Is this a desperate attempt to build up your post count? I think you might find your post counter will be fixed at zero if you keep posting redundant questions like that. Or get banned whatever suits the mods

Well I answer your question anyway. Freeride involves all sorts of stunts and tricks over all manner of obstacles. You can find anything from; ladders, see saws, 5-35ft drops, skate park type ramps, dirt jumps and other crazy things. Cross country on the other hand is an endurance event held over a circular course that both goes uphill and down. I've never seen any dirt jumps or other obstacles in these types of events but Im sure some crazy B has built one. Uphill dirtjumps! the new endurance event

Cross country is for lycra wearing homo's. Freeride is, well.. just launching and jumping off things basically.

You can also do freeride in lycra.

Llandegla has a jam of a climb after the black section, which has little kicker jumps and berms!
How hardcore do you have to be to need bermed corners up a hil that's nearly 1:1???

Freeriding is a freestyle sport. You can take all sorts of different lines and has a wide variety of stuff.
Cross Country has pretty much one line and pretty straight forward.
I much prefer doing/watching Freeriding, although i wouldn't mind doing a big cross country event, like the Botranger 20/12.
That boy needs theropy.
