Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End

i guess this is a compulsory topic really
I saw it yesterday afternoon, probably one of the first to in the country - 1pm showing?
anyhow, i thought it was pretty good, althought the story seemed a little forced at times, and the plot was too complicated to make the film easy to watch
but it was certainly worth watching, and although there isn't a sequel planned, there is room for one i would have thought - seemed like a bit of an anti-climatic ending to me
has anyone else seen it yet? and if so, what do you think?

my guess is that if you didnt like the second one, then you probably won't like this one either, simply because of your mindset
having said that, if you've seen the other two, you have to see this one simply to find out what happens - the start is particularly good IMO

Re-watched the 2nd in the morning and saw the 3rd in the afternoon. 2nd is pretty poor, but I liked the 3rd.

I'm seeing it on tuesday. I have never slept through any film in a cinema before but i suppose there's a first for everything0
-
I got really annoyed watching the second one, it was clearly written as a two-parter, thus POTC III, just a scam to get you back in to watch that one, but guess Ill end up watching it though at some point.0

hmm ive not seen it yet but i saw POTC 2 on priate dvd (kind of ironic), anyway from what ive heard its pretty boring, i may well go see it for myself just to find out but i dunno it just gets so hyped up and its all a huge scam to get money really.

It was mooooooo!!.
Random plot twists and dragging out the action scenes do not make a good movie. At all. Very forced, very un-imaginative.

We're going to go dressed as pirates and drink rum beforehand. Yarr.
Not my idea. I said you can only do that for the premier, but I got overruled.

I loved it, far better than the 2nd that dragged on too long. Weird surreal bits, a very piratey plot of betrayal and Keith Richards made it into the film after all!0
-
i saw it last night, tons of people there, i almost had to drown myself with the large coke i had, that's how long it was! good otherwise...

the numbver of plots in it made it quite hard to follow as well
but Keith Richards kind of made it into a proper film

It was average at best, and the fact that they have set it up for another movie just can't be good.

Except its a trilogy.
Sometimes endings are left open for the viewer to use their brains.

I liked it. All films should be this long or longer. better value for money. hopefully there will be extended dvd version that will elaborate on some of the plot elements that weren't so well explained.
who sat through the credits then? theres an extra bit but I'm not sure what it means, if anything

jam.
I missed the extra bit.
I thought it was a good film.
Then again, i did like the other two aswell.

While you are correct, it is a trilogy, a fourth film has already been made.

I mean... what... what was that film all about? What exactly happened from start to finish?
Just a special fx extravaganza.
I didn't get out till 3am!!! Worse than LotR! Allegedly...
It's becoming a trend that whether or not i rate a film depends on how late it makes me for a party afterwards...0 -
It seemed alright. Dragged in many places and the different plots made it a bit rubbish to.
Who ever said 2 and 3 were made as a 2 part film is just stating the obvious.
2 and 3 were infact written as one, and then just split somewhere as it would have been uber long.

The third film would have been good if it left out all the kiddie jokes. If you ignore them then it was o.k
