Moutain Bike Skills Courses?

Hi,
I am relatively new to Off Road Mountain Biking. I used to ride back in my teens but nothing technical.
Me and a friend are looking for places that may give lessons or offer courses in the skills needed to ride trails and some downhill, not racing though.
Can anyone help with names of places or websites to look at. I haven't had much luck in finding many places that offer technical riding courses/lessons on the net.
Many thanks
John

I don't know how much help your going to find here, were more of the get out and do it kind. However i'm sure a few people here have been to one, you might get lucky!

excellent thats exactly what I was looking for, looks like a really good place.
thanks to flurry and Rockhopper Ecosse for your help.0 -
I've never checked that out before - slightly off topic but I like the look of the tech/maintenance courses, especially the wheel building one - and it's pretty cheap - take your own hubs/rims spokes etc and build them yourself! Pretty satisfying I would imagine!
Any colour you like as long as it's Anodized Red0 -
If you're within driving distance of Glentress, 'the hub' run courses. They are supposed to be very good but a little on the expensive side. See: http://www.thehubintheforest.co.uk

They seem to be hopeless at updating the website (i picked up a leaflet on a demo day on 7th july, says visit site for info - but there is no info!) so its probably best if you give them a call/email.

Something round here tastes bad. Could be plain old bad taste.
