hi everyone i need a bit of help i might me buying somedmr v8's soon and i was wandering if i could have everyones opinion about them so i know whether to buy them.thx all.[:I]

They're grippy, but the bearings don't last very long at all. Strong pedals though. I'd reccomend wearing shin protection when you use them.

my brother has the incas, theyre a lot bigger than the v8s platform wise, but one of his has come loose on the spindle, so that it wiggles from side to side
is this normal or just his bad luck?

My Incas are awesomeness-i haven't had any problems with them so i think it may have just been a faulty pair. I had DMR V8's on my hardtail, and to be honest, they absolutely sucked the shizzle. Not much grip. Pins fall out. Tiny platform kills your feet. I'd say go for the Incas

The platform on inca's is bigger but I've never had a problem with my V8's.

Re the wobble: Just tighten the nut back on the axle.

I wear DC's.
The shape just felt horrible under my feet. Can't really explain it well.
Felt like the inside of my foot was being pushed down too far, whereas the outside edge was being pushed away. I do have very wide feet though, more like flippers.

I've got them, very smooth. There are reports of the pins dropping out, and the bearings ceasing but this ain't happened to me yet. The grease port is a nice touch, although the syringe supplied is rubbish.

One thing tho, they are very sharp... my legs are cut to ribbons, and are constantly scarred! I guess it makes me look 'hard' though!!!!

ah the scarring's just a rite of passage
i would reccomend V8 pedals on everyone's first proper bike.
i have size 12 feet, very wide ... and they hold me like a baby in a cradle .
I also agree that regular greasing via the greaseport keeps em tip top .. i still have a pair that i put on a bike 5 years ago , and they are still running fine.
evryone should know the meaning of the word PEDALWHACK !!

I highly recomend them, they are very grippy, they feel reassuring under my size 11 feet, and they spin very nicely as long as you keep them greased up.

I have a pair of DMR v8 pedals and there fine for me especialy for the money and replacible pins cool. go for it !

i have v8s on the reign and p7, the stumpy has v12 mags. i cant really tell the difference to be honest but all 3 sets are excellent. i have size 12 feet and have no problems with size, (in any department before the torrent of double entendres come flying in)

I've used the v8s before but now I'm using v12 mags. Great pedal, always liked them. The only thing I don't like about the 12 mags (and possibly the 12s) is that they don't have a greaseport like the v8s, which I was expecting for the next model up. Perhaps I should've just gotten the v8s.
