I need a rig for about œ600-700. I mainly ride dirt jumps, skatepark, and street. I think it'd be best if i got a 24in. I was looking at these bikes in particular. DMR rythym, Flow drifter and the 24/7 slacker. Please tell me if they are not to good or whatever. PLEEEASE do not tell em to get a BMX.

I really dont trust kona. They are going to much like halfords bikes. Like run of the mill. Anyways kona dont even do a 24" specific frame.

Thats exacltly the same reson why my bro dosnt like kona..... 'Because Halfords sell them'
But that is true though.
Get a Chucker and spend the rest on new forks and 24" wheels.

chuckers arent 24 either

the DMR, the flow and the 24/7 are all good, and the identiti p-45 or 666x is worth a look as well

Well to be honest alot of people have urged me to get the flow. But im quite worried about rust! Do steel frames rust from inside out? And like is there any treatment to stop it rusting from inside to out.

Those forks are far, far to big for that frame. That front wheel is not 24"
and there isn't even a back brake.
Thats dangerous, the head tube will not be attached to the bike much longer.
EDIT: I noticed afterwards that its German.

Yes you could put 24" wheels on a chucker, but it wouldn't ride properly and would screw up the geometry.

Like I said its not mine. Mines standard apart from new brakes, pedals and a wheel.

putting 24s on a 26 frame isnt good not only because of the geometry change, but also because the BB clearance will suffer

plus, you will be carrying around extra weight, because the frame is that bit bigger

Im not exactley the heaviest guy around and my riding is relativley smooth so strength isnt paramount. And i heard that the 666 has alot of strength but the weight comes with it. IS it really that bad?

Oh, no idea. Can you change it to single? Try this, it might work for a chucker too?!.

Plus, for dirtjumping and street stuff, you go for 24" wheels for the smaller size and chuckability. If you just put 24" wheels on a 26" frame then the frame is still just as big, but now also screwed up and lower. A 24" specific bike runs 24" much better and thats why its better to get a 24" specific for that kind of riding. If that made sense, [:D]
