Delamere forest

Hi all me and my mate are going to delamere forest in the whit holidays and just wanted to no what it is like, are the trails easy to find and what level they are at cheers [;)]

The official XC trails are easy to find but dull.
There's loads of singletrack, you'll just need to get out there and explore.

This map has our XC loop and most of the good features on it.

Cheers mate think that is what we will do we are staying at a caravan site called delamere forest for the week so i think we will just pack up some stuff and go off for the day [:D]

A question mate, how does your Bullit fare for XC? It will soon be my next purchase (well the frame for now) and I wondered how it rides up hills.

It's not bad mate, I built it up with Thompson kit, Saint etc so it's pretty light (around 38 pounds).
It' got the old 66RC forks too, with the newer air ones you could get it down to 35 or 36 pounds. I do 15 mile rides on it no problem.

delamere is good for beginners, i went on the jumps and downhill and leart so much in 1 day

If we are out that Thursday night you'll have to come along with us for the legendary Thursday night ride. It's a ride we do on Thursday nights.

What time do you kick off the Thursday night rides Col? - a couple of guys were talking about an after work ride next Thursday at Delamere so we might maybe come along.

Meet up around 5.45 or so at the cafe, just ride around for 2 or 3 playing in the fun bits.

What's Delamere like to ride solo ?

My parents live up in Chester and I'm off to visit them for a few days, thought I'd take my bike and check out Delamere.

Avoid busy times if the weathers good as it gets busy with Families etc, also the good bits aren't always easy to find, best to explore and get off the fire roads as they are boring and won't give you the best of Delamere. I've been up there 4/5 times now and keep finding new bits.

If you're coming up to Chester you should get yourself down to Llandegla.

Well back from delamere forest and i can say i really enjoyed it [:D][:D] sorry i didnt get chance too come on the night ride [:(] going to go down with my mates for a day after all our exams finish and just have a play about up there [;)][;)]

Why Did the northshore get destroyed?
I have been looking for a northshore to replace it for ages now but as I live near crewe, Delamere is easy to reach.I have been to Chicksands however it's too far away for me to go often...
