Hi there fellow bikers. I have got some z150's for my giant acid and it looks so good. All my mates think it looks sweeet and think it wont snap my frame. But there are a few that think it will, my mates say it is jelousy and i think so too. I have been downhilling and jumping and they ride nice and smooth. Anyone got any ideas about the snapping of my frame. I will send pics soon[/font=Arial Black][/font=Courier New]. Thanks.[:D][:D]

<center> 150mm is a lot for a hardtail bike, unless its built to withstand i.e le toy or .243 I wouldnt advise running more than 130mm</center>

more than 5" on an Acid really isn't a good idea. firstly it'll feel kinda nasty, and it will weaken the structure of the bike, but no it's not gonna snap as soon as you sit on it like some sheep here think. iirc those frames aren't warrantied for 6" forks, so basically don't push your luck by running them.

everyone said my cowan would handle like a pig with 150mm forks and it feels fine no problem at all with the handling!

i really doubt you'll snap the frame unless your a hard rider. try finesse and all these whingers may shut up as long as you send pics of really great riding.
however i agree theres still the risk or snappage but considering the headangle is slackened by one or two degrees per extra inch i don't think you should worry about snapping (unless you ride hard)
i'd more worry about the different feeling

how old are you?

i run 7" junior's on my old 125 for around a month, ran lovelly, looked lovelly. then i went back into the real world and got some 5" back on there, then sold it before it snapped.

so now im on the market for a 1.5" headtubed beauty that can stand breakout's [:D]

depends how you ride to whether it'll snap or not. i wouldn't ride it myself in case it goes. i wouldn't put more than 130mm on it if not 110mm.

the bike will be fine with 6" as long as you like it , and you think it rides nice then it doesnt really matter what anybody else thinks.
