What prices should we be looking at for these forks? and are they really any good?. Is it worth upgrading from Rst forks to rok shoks? Or si there another make which is much better?

Any set of Rock Shox will be better than a set of RSTs, they tend to be very cheap bottom end budget forks. If ur on a budget a set of Marzocchi MX Comps can be had for about œ150, they're not the greatest forks on the market but are a good reliable lower end fork.
