The Black Bib Vs. Castelli Velocissimo 5

Hi, Im looking for opinions.
Im looking for a winter bib-tight with a REALLY good chamois pad.
Im a heavier rider @ 90+/- kgs.
Ive done a bit of research and have narrowed it down to a couple of options.
I have read that RedWhite.cc bibs have great pads, however, the current pricing of them appears to be almost double the price of these other two options which makes that hard to justify.
The BlackBib ultimate is currently £84, and the Castelli Velocissimo from Sigma sports currently reduced to £81.
My questions is- which one of these two has the better chamois??
'Better' as in comfortable for longer rides? 'Better' as in long life? (We've all had great pads wear out)
If you can comment on this with experience, I'll be very appreciative.

Interesting question, nullified by the fact that everyone is different.
Having got a couple of pairs of Red White's The Bib and Castelli Free Aero I'd say the RW's are just as comfortable and more relaxed while the Castelli are race fit. Choose for yourself but the Velocissimo are a lower range and I have no experience of Blackbib.
Both makes have lasted many years. All the premium brands seem to last a long time, budget brands not so much.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
I have no experience of the Redwhite, but the Castellis use the Kiss2 pad they use in their lower end stuff. The Progetto pad on the higher end stuff I find amazing - but never got on anywhere near as well with the Kiss2. I have a set of Velocissimo tights (3?) and the fit is amazing, the lycra is firm and compressive, look is super smart... but TBH I find the pad in DHB Aerons more comfortable.
If the main thing you're looking out for is a comfortable pad, I don't know if the Redwhites are that pair, but pretty sure the Velocissimos are not.

I'm in the same camp as super_davo - kiss pad I find really does not suit me, Progetto X2 one of my absolute favourites.
