On the train into town, about to experience shock of work after a decently long break. Next week's ski holiday seems like a long way off right now.

[Initially though 'Harry Belafonte' but I wasn't far off]

    Morning

Gloomy here too. The DW's are back to school tomorrow. I might then be able to get some things done.

It's been a bit of a dull cycle of not a lot interspersed with teenage screen addiction friction. Tbf to Tricky, she's been a bit more willing to do chores. Beans is on the up. Not quite back to hiding round corners and jumping out at me but much rounder around the middle.

    Shopping. Meh.

First: extra coffee. First one didn't hit the sides.

    Morning all.

Very damp and grey here. About as joyless as a Scotsman and his milk less porridge.

'My' porridge had for breakfast. I always make a bowl for wifey too and she always says how creamy and delicious it is.

Off to hozzi soon to see Onc Consultant to discuss progress and recent scans and future treatments. Slightly shitting it. I've no idea what the outcome will be.

    Coffee later when back.

Might dig out airbrush and make a start on this baby.

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

  • Gloomy and snowing gently.... maybe walk with a pal later. Homemade muesli eaten and onto coffee..

    Good luck with the Onk.

Made that identical car with a Matchbox kit... ooh, way back in the mid eighties. They made them for a while. Far superior quality to Airfix. Have you done any Tamiya kits? They are superb.

Tamiya do aerosols as well as brush on paint.

    Good luck today P69!

Slightly chilly in the gym this morning, I almost booked an impromtu ice bath session to warm up.

Slushy on the roads so not sure if tonights run will be on. Either way I need to dig my skiing stuff out of storage and see what new stuff I need (want). It'll have been almost two years sine my last outing, the one that didn't end very well.

    Chilli for dinner :)

Morning all. Good luck Photonic. Swam to work this morning in the car, actually passed a couple of hardy souls on bikes. Felt sorry for them as road was flooded in places. Currently settling back into normality at work. Take it easy folks.

Great news p69. Dry January 😱didn’t V68 say January is a good awful month why make it any worse.

Slow start this morning, braved the rain and sleet to get to garage to do some stretching. Then got dragged out to look at rugs by Mrs W before food shopping. Dark by the time we got home so couldn’t be arsed to do anything. Got a call from daughter dearest saying grandson had not been present in the queue for the bus at home time on his first day at his new school. Lots of frantic running down to bus stop by school staff to find he just ambled down there on his own not realising he had to queue up and convoy down there.

Great news P69! 🥳 coincidentally i ordered a new sharpening steel to get my kitchen knives super sharp. So I’m available to carry out the operation if needed.

I did ask if a dry white Sauvignon or dry london gin counted towards it.

    Apparently not.

Anyway ours is moist, not totaly dry. Just making an effort to be healthy as we've both got a few events coming up and want to make the most of them.

I've got a couple of bottles of Asahi Super Dry in the fridge, could get double points for those.

Just catching up on yesterday’s goings on, great news PN69, hope you enjoyed the biccies.

Webboo is quite right regarding my comments on dry January. Not only is it a long and awful month but it’s the best time to visit a pub as all the amateur drinkers have fucked off because of ‘dry January’ 😂🤣😂
