Morning Sungod, please turn the golden orb on today. Fed up with grey mist. Parkrun shortly after walking the Mutt. Family meal later and hopefully start planning next year's bike travelling. Have a nice day all.

Too many bikes according to Mrs O.
  • Sun just rising here, can actually see it! 2nd ride in 2 days later, need to burn calories to then hoover up left overs.

Morning All, another misty day here. Up a bit early for my liking as we have the in-laws descending on us at lunchtime and I have a few things to do beforehand. Quick cup of coffee then time to crack on...

    Morning

I bet it isn't as grey as it is/has been here. It's a special sort of grey grey.

    Meh.

    Coffee...

    Morning

Wall to wall misty gloom here so not much chance of riding outside. So the first exercise this week is likely to be weights or climbing. Just had to order some bike cleaning stuff as the the last lot I bought appears to have been left in Scotland.

  • My new friend, Abcess is bloody killing me today and made me sick several times.

Gargling salt water isn't helping so may resort to sambuca.

    Advocate of disc brakes.

I wouldn't be so naive as to try outgreying someone who lives in Scotland...this was the scene from yesterday afternoons hound outing, just a bit grey and misty:

Went to cobble some shoes but not a cobble to be found. Bought a massive turkey for 1/4 of the pre Xmas price, will no doubt be as dry as sawdust.

48 hour fast lasted 19 hours due to boredom.

Gargling Chlorohexidine mouth wash much better. Tomorrow, you'll have a sore head plus toothache.

I'll raise you! Benzydamine Hydrochloride mouthwash. Soon you'll be what mouth, what tongue, what cheeks, what lips, what face? It's like pure Difflam Spray liquid.

    Taste is foul!

During my bone marrow transplant under post radio therapy; complete immuno suppression. My mouth was completely ulcerated. I was given Cocadeine - a Cocaine/codeine based mouthwash. It felt like chewing a pin cushion initially but then nada - no pain, nothing. Whichever nurse was administering the stuff would always stand by to make sure I didn't swallow it. One morning after shower and 'weigh in', before hooking me up to the Hickman line, IV morphine and TPN, it was there on my bedside cabinet. In for a penny, in for a pound I thought and downed it after gargling. Nurse came back and as my pupils were like pin pricks, she knew straight away. I was on watch after that. Slept with psychedelic dreams such was the mix with morphine.

No such luck. They're the OK in-laws though: the boring ones and the whanckers didn't come along.

Bollocks. Blood glucose shooting up past 20 tonight. No apparent reason. Maybe fish with a handful of chips. Never done that before. Pumping in long acting insulin but if I have too much I'll crash badly at 4-5am. Could spend 4 hours on the turbo. Drink 5 pints of water and go for a 5 mile walk.

Think I'll just monitor it and hope it curves downward soon. Bloody steroids. Meh.
