Weighing up a few options,

Bronson 1

Tallboy 3

Hightower 1

All different prices and specs.

Would the Hightower be a good compromise for techy climbing/ long drags and some chunky trails?

    From that brief description of your riding the Hightower is a good compromise (a mate has one) , the '1' with carbon frame (and better other components - assuming I'm guessing about right on year) is also a fair bit lighter than the Al versions making it less of a chore on the climbs although rear suspension setup is key to getting the best from it as my mate found out.

    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
