Morning all.
Thank you SG for starting today. I'm still quite asleep due to 1.5x Zopiclone last night. I was determined to get a good night's rest.
Cuppa tea. Porridge on the go. Wife off for run. Xmas cards for neighbours to write.
Might tackle socket move later.
Measuring up for new entrance coir mat and wooden surround. Also hall runner.
Have a nice one guys.

The usual Sunday lie in done. Off for a spot of full English shortly with some mates up in Beckenham where I used to live and drop off a few card. Later may involve jobs involving Christmas decorations etc.

Morning
We don’t have the forecasted gales yet but instead we have frost so pedalling is off the cards. Need to do some packing as tomorrow is a train ride to daughter dearests new spot in Scotland.

Frosty, sunny and windy, nicer than yesterday!
Tidy and clean house for family visiting, wee shopping trip needed at some point.

'Coir mat'. That's a new one on me.
Morning
Blowing a cold hoolie with wintery stuff thrown in and some thunder. It's not nice.
Today... I dunno. Possibly roller action. Need to do something.

Morning all. Definitely chilly, white sleety stuff all over the cars. Young oxo survived his night out without misshap somehow. Bacon butties cooked and consumed, even the mutt had some. Finish last minute stuff and tip run planned. Family over for late dinner. Running later.

coir was all the rage in the 60s as an alternative to carpet, not as comfy though

Chilled start after 19 mile hilly race yesterday then straight onto the ale until not that long ago 😂
a few jobs and then the pub as there is the Christmas tractor run on later

Cheaper than carpet back then as well. Supposedly back in trend a few yrs ago.

Timed well my expedition to stretch the legs, a sunny spell between the showers blowing in. 1/2 done without using support, had to revert to crutches assistance on way back uphill, one leg giving me some gyp. Seeing physio on Friday so hopefully she'll give me some more instructions re muscle recovery.
And regained a whole 0.4kg in body weight last week. Only so many cals I can take onboard.
More CX to watch this pm. Liked yesterday's impressive winners' performances. And seeing Cam Mason get back into the top 5.

Afternoon folks,
Very slow start was enjoyed this morning, now some coffee before heading over to see if the old dear's place is still standing. Then pub

Coir mat. It's just the standard door mat. You know the bristly things you wipe your feet on as you enter front door. Ours is quite a large one and about to make it slightly bigger 1400x900. Can't believe this cost around £100 now! TBF the last one 23 years ago was about £35. I made a wooden surround for it in 1997 but its knackered as it was just pine flooring. I priced up similar in Oak and was horrified! Hence remove surround and go full hall width in vestibule.
Blowing a hoolie here!! Things that shouldn't move in the garden are moving. Wife just back from 10 mile run said it was "challenging " . Sun, rain, hail, sleet, sun, wind, wind and more wind.
Glad I had a 2.5 hour nap.

Coir: Yes, I looked it up and I do remember them. Bristle things that left fibres everywhere when they started to go.

Why, what do you wipe your feet on at the front door? Recycled Porsch air filters?

Electric socket and associated 3A spur now moved. Quite impressed I removed washing machine, gathered tools etc, disconnected everything, drilled new holes. shortened trunking, refitted sockets and wires, put everything back and cleaned up in just under an hour.

Evening folks. Family disposed of back to respective abodes and house now resembling normality. Mutts wondering WTF went on. OH currently drinking a gin, she never drinks. I've broken open the Xmas booze and currently enjoying a beer or 2. Currently windy as hell outside still, sounds like next doors fence has disappeared and I CBA to look. Stroll on sleep. Well done Photonic with the electrics, trust you did it properly and aren't in danger of burning the place down. If you require advice you can PM me if you want.

Thanks Oxoman. I'm pretty handy with tools having done the initial rewire 26 years ago! Still no burning smells so hopefully OK!
Good for you on the booze front. Anything post Solstice counts as Christmas in my book. Go for it I say!!!

Enjoyed a big bottle of Tripel Karmeliet, one of my favourite beers, one is enough at 8% though.
