Monday where are The Usual Suspects

The clock's ticking and there's nobody to do a witty thread title, so here goes.

Up in the gloom to head into town for more fun n games with the Kingdom of Far Far Away. On the last lap now though, as after Thursday I have a full 2 weeks off - HR has ordered everyone to reduce their holiday carry forward so we're all naffing off for Chritmas, New Year and a bit on either end. Hey ho.

    Morning. Nice break there @Stevo_666.

Mega fatigue this weekend. Diabetes hypos and hypers like a yo-yo convention. Today I shall mostly be bed bound.

Dark, very dark. Mild and breezy.

That was a knackering weekend. Saturday spent doing structural stuff in the attic to fit the loft ladders and Sunday spent cleaning up after the messy roofers plus moving half a billion tiles broken or otherwise. I'll need another weekend to get over this one. Though I did get a bit of help from the minions 😶 Chocolate or screen time is the currency.

p69 might just be sleeping so keep the racket down guys.

Today some admin and chores and the solar bloke will turn up. Will go and post Christmas cards with a real, genuine stamps bought today (you humourless gullible baskets).

Mrs P is stressed. She is in dire need of alcoholism.

Chilled start after a busy night of pub fun.

work snizzle and then a run or a swim, quite tired after a decent chunk of exercise over the weekend.

  • Nothing planned today, fairly breezy out there, might break out the chainsaw and trim some of the dodgy tree limbs around garden. Probably a Zwift session later.

    Morning

Its a bit breezy and grey here so it could do anything. Need to do a bit of bike maintenance, headset seems loose and back mudguard keeps coming off it’s bracket.

Slightly jaded today, might think about doing some shopping later.

    Then again I may not.

    Advocate of disc brakes.

Shhhhhh..... you bastards just woke me! Nice snooze from 8.30 till 10.30. Feel slightly more human. Need to sort out new DECT Ansa-machine and phone handsets x3. At least with these ones I can transfer all my mobile contacts to the home handsets. Very handy.

Morning all. Worse than usual Monday morning. Just preparing for crane to lift a fan off a tower for me tomorrow. Just what I wanted, not. At least it's not down to rain tomorrow. Managed to wobble into work today for a change, crosswinds not so pleasant though. Roll on Thursdays finish.

i'm monitoring the thread situation, you chaps definitely need more practice

after a mild 23-24 degree start, rather unpleasant end to ride- on the way back the wind went from normal to insane, 80 kph according to weather warning, palm fronds blowing off, dust storm, etc. could barely stand up let alone ride, had to get off and walk, angling bike against the road to stop it flying away, made it to a place called la hoya where i knew there was a little shelter and called for rescue, cars/vans were getting blown sideways

fortunately a bit calmer down where i'm staying, sunbed shortly

my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

Have you considered sticking her on a bus to Shropshire? 😛

A Day of snooze and schnizzle. Set up new home phones with one on each floor. Very nice. The others lasted about 15 years.

Fitted weather shelter over Tapo cctv cam at the back door. Looks a bit like half a hard hat but will stop water ingress.

That finished me off so more hours of snooze. Got kids to cook a nice pasta sauce instead of me.

"Our Julie" is expected shortly. Not seen her for a year.

Evening all. Well today's wobble into failed on way home. Sidewall split on rear tyre and not chance of bodging so rang eldest for rescue. Don't know how I did it but nearly 200mm gash, definitely not good when tubeless.

Evening folks, back in Witney for a couple of days. Thankfully all going well so far and an uneventful drive up. Still dark when I got to the office, but I'll be making an early escape on Wednesday to compensate. This is the last trip up until the new year at least.

Staying in a rather nice coach house pub on the A40 so I went for a walk before coming back here for food and drink.

  • Evening wander up to the local, village carol singing and mulled wine, very pleasant, shame the landlord is moving onto elsewhere (non brewery owned premises) as him and his wife have made a real effort with the place, hard to make money with a brewery leased pub though.
