Friday Frantic Flying and Fickle Flame Fanning

A shoot sleep. Woke at 3 despite 1.5 Zopiclone.

Reading Neil Gaimon Anansi Boys. Rather good.

Still can't sleep. Bah!

Pump off later. More meds to collect. Clear daughters room of crap for her return. Same for sons.

Snooze. Coffee. Laters.

Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

    Rinmong

    Dark and drizzly brr.

Heap big tidy in the garden day.

Will visit the old girl from across the road who's was taken in on Tuesday. She's 94 and in a bad way. Always been a good soul and looked after this place whilst my mother visited me at the Hammersmith.

Beans is locked in. After yesterdays shenanigans I had to find him and catnap him as he had gone out and in the meanwhile, the builders turned up and as they are definitely, absolutely, cat munching monsters from hell and he would not come home: stranded across the road. Way past sleepy time*. Tried to lure him in the cat basket which failed but just ended up grabbing the squirming, wriggling hairy objector and 'sneaking' him through the front door. One of them smokes and it's obvious he's a fire breathing dragon who roast cats and then eats them. Despite being 6 foot x 6 foot and owning a number of cats.

*Currently 0830 to 16.30 approx. Quick ablution at 15.00hrs approx..

    Panto tonight. Wahey!

    Morning

From a very wet Wiltshire. Today will be spent mostly in the Naffi celebrating the son in laws course completion and promotion.

Slightly blurred around the edges today.

Walked the pup to clear that which worked about 27% of it off.

May look into a cycling break to the Italian pad at easter.

Ooooo. Lola's Theme just popoed up on R1 :) TUNE!

Apparently it’s in the mess rather than at Naffi, but apparently the bar can rarely cope with the numbers when there’s a do on.

Ravages of the newly acquired cold digging ever deeper. WFH (as per most days) but very quiet this time of year. Lemsip in bed from the wife before getting up, omelette for breakfast, take neighbours to railway station, home for pm then going to see Mum in hospital.

You want to finish her off with your cold? Inheritance comes in handy in January I find 😉

So after rubbish sleep took a cuppa tea up to bed around 10. Had heat pack on skin pump and made sure I was warm so Chemo pump fully emptied in time for my 1.30 appointment.

Woke at 12.50 in a panic! Managed to get there bang on time. Phew.

After exercising the legs by walking round and round, and round B&M store trying to find bathroom scales - need to monitor if / by how much I'm regaining body weight - had passed the correct shelf at least 3 times before assistant #2 pointed them out for me, doh, this afternoon's challenge was trying to saw some (thin) salvaged wood for kindling. Exercise those absent arm muscles: didn't last long before felt knackered. But exercise is Good. Innit?

Miserable dull drizzling dreich day. Roll on the solstice.

  • Conclave was excellent, well acted and filmed - i recomend it, G&T time in front of the fire now.
