Sram Force AXS 2023 Brake Lever Contact Point Adjustment

Like the title says, I'm trying to adjust said contact point. At present the brake lever pulls all the way back to the bar before the brake is applied. I should say that this is a brand new bike and has been ridden less than 50km.

The Sram documentation available online is just a confusing mess with links to totally irrelevant pages of the supporting(?) documentation. I tried multiple times to find the right page but was only ever directed to Red or Rival pages. (Is it because Force doesn't begin with an R?) I think that someone at Sram needs a good ar5e kicking.

Have looked exhaustively at all the 'how to' videos but none of them are relevant to this particular model. Older models use a 5mm Allen bolt on top of the hood (accessed with the cover pulled back). My model has a size 10 torx screw in this position, but that's just the fluid reservoir. The Sram Red has a 2.5mm hex head adjustment screw on the side of the lever (again, accessed with the cover pulled back).

There doesn't appear to be any adjustment mechanism on this model; or have I missed something?

The reach adjustment is done like this here

Most likly a poor bleed though if its pulling all the way back ,yould be surprised how many brand new bikes arrive like that .

Had a 6k Canyon CFR needed bled out last week ,had no oil in the new hose at all other than .

The contact point adjustment is more a fine tune for getting a firm pull on tge lever as it adjusts tge pistons to set the pads out further

Contact whoever you bought the bike from ,if its online and a pain to sens it back they should pay the LBS to bleed it if you don't have the tools etc .

Because Canyon are direct to customer they paid me no issues .

Thanks for the comeback. I've just ordered a bleed kit (I'm going to need one eventually) and will bleed as soon as possible. I know that I should go back to the seller (Giant in Sheffield) but I'd rather learn how to, and do it myself. If I do cock it up I can always go back to Giant to get it sorted.

Can you not take it back for your free post delivery checks that most bike suppliers / shops do.

Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

I could Oxoman, but I am a technician by training and by inclination. I'll have to do it myself someday, so why not now? I know I can get it done FOC at Giant - Sheffield, but that's not going to make me a better spanner bender. If I did take it in, I'm not sure the Cytech operative would be too happy with me watching his/her every move. Besides, I did go over the rest of the bike post purchase, just to be secure in the knowledge that all the various screws and bolts were torqued up correctly.
