Was meant to be a few degrees above zero last night but still had to de-ice the windscreen.

Anyhow, on the train now and got our annual meeting with HMRC this morning. Might get 'Stand and Deliver' by Adam and the Ants to play in the background.

[CCR. I do like a bit of CCR]

    Morning

    Dark. Frikin dark.

Beans is AWOL. Brought me the tiniest mouse ever yesterday whilst I was on the rollers. It was alive and kicking and it's somewhere in the kitchen. Humane mouse trap set with Cashew nuts. They're ace. His new cold spell winter stunt is lie on me, go to sleep and snore.

    Today: chores. No HMRC stuff.

Good luck to the 'Loon and the hydroquinone, phenidone, and monomethyl para-aminophenol sulphate snorter.

Mrs P: highly stressed. Dunno why. Scientists have found out the difference between BST and PMT - One is mad cows disease and the other is little agricultural problem.

Apparently it's bring your pup to work day. Well, for me it is anyway.

Nice early morning walk today over the tops,

  • Hopefully weather for an outside cycle shortly, though promised brightness has yet to arrive.

    Morning.

Not as brass monkeys as yesterday. Good sleep for a change. Feel almost human.

Off for pump removal early as it now shows zero so 11.30 instead of 1.30 or 5.30pm.

Then to pharma for big bag of pharma.

Then lunch, snooze, meds, coffee, more video transfer. Maybe even wedding video from 1997 if I can get VHS player to work.

It's Friday so some 'take the edge off Tramadol' with a snoozy antihistamine instead of alcohol tonight. It's free!

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

    Morning

Its a tropical 4 degrees here so I might hazard a bike ride at some point. Window men have been and un seized the velux type windows although they thought it was a no goer at one point. Mrs W is now happily cleaning them.

    Chlorphenamine Maleate.

Not driving, nor using tools or machines from now on. Might have a small bottle of beer to help it along later.

We're on the drug train, now watch me get on board

I used to know where I was going 'till I got on board the drug train

I'm going to show you how to get on board

    You put one foot up

    You put another foot up

You put another foot up and you're on board the drug train...

For context. This is my current stock of pharmaceuticals!!! Probably the same quantity as a dodgy pro cycling team from the 90s.

But feck me, it's a lot! I'm surprised I ever managed to ride a bike 100 miles.

Afternoon all currently feeling 💩 seem to have picked up the snots. Jesus photonic that's some stash of drugs. I take it your not having to pay for that lot.

  • Actually got a reasonable ride in, almost sunny and cafe lunch. Dug out the MTBs as the back roads are pretty mucky just now.

G&T now and then a tortilla for tea.

    Evening folks,

I've been enjoying my day of unemployment. Had a remarkably mild hangover this morning so lazed around a bit, went to get some supplies for the house, pastries seemed like a good idea. Then went for a long pub lunch with a couple of other idle types, nearly got home when I was distracted by some other friends in a local hostelry. I could get used to this being unemployed, not sure how long it would be sustainable for though.

V68 I'm hoping you've signed on for unemployment benefit. I can imagine their reply. But sir your not just off the boat or similar remarks. Good luck with the new company / role.
