Thursday: 'Now, you listen here! He's not the Messiah. He's a very naughty boy!'
Shoot sleep. Way too many steroids. Glucose levels sky high. Zopiclone not working.
Meh! Wide awake since 4am. Maybe chat to Tokyoites? Thank go for BBC Sounds and earpods.
Probably coffee and long daytime snoozes beckon.
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Roofer coming to scaffold. After scaffolding, deliver materials. Then it's a waiting game for a week of settled weather. (May?). Could do with this dry and frosty but then it's changing to damp and windy and mild over the weekend. Balmy weather.
First: coffee

Morning
A bit nippy here but the sun appears to be shining. Too icy for cycling and it may be some time before the garage is warm enough to go on the board. So more coffee.

Hard frost here, maybe a wee walk, then off to Kelso way to deliver presents to MiL. Shower cubicle awaiting sealant, one of my least favourite jobs (apart from stripping off the old stuff....)

Trust me, you probably don't want to do that. At least I get paid for talking to the Japanese.

Chilly ride in - forecast was shyte as usual and it was below zero when I got on the bike. Woke me up but luckily no slippery stuff on the tarmac.
Just been for my annual flu jab so expect to feel a bit crap later. On the way out saw a bloke sitting on the pavement with a yellow labrador both looking a bit chilly, so bought a tin of dog food and a pasty for them at the local Tesco. I can go back to being the Grinch now.

Glad I was sitting down when I read that.

Yet another day of taxi duty around town, third this week already. And it's not over yet, more of the same tomorrow, although at least this time it's for me. 🙄
Would be better if it wasn't mainly driving about to experts, handing over a load of money and getting very little of use in return.

Morning folks,
Although it will probably be afternoon by the time I finish typing. Last day in the current orifice, mixed feelings, sad to leave some of the people, glad to be rid of a lot of the 💩
Had to drive in to transport all my stuff, took about an hour due to idiots blocking roadworks with their impatience. I wound up getting out of the car and telling people if they wait for a gap to clear it would actually make their journey quicker. There is far too much stupid in this world, often driven by selfishness.
Going to the cafe shortly, finish desk clearing and then off to the pub after ditching the car.

End of an era...you taking any time off or headed straight into the new job next week?

Good luck for the future job v68! Don't (or do) get massively drunk this afternoon and tell em exactly what you think! 😉
Stevo hope you asked said hungry man with dog if he was gluten intolerant or had any other allergies that might cause him anaphylaxis. Apparently it's "a thing" now.
Yup, guessed right. Had breakfast, lots of tablets and insulin. Went to lie down. Slept for two hours. Almost lunchtime. More eggs.

😊 Looked like he was starvation intolerant so went for something filling. I did at least tell the bloke not to give the pasty to his dog as it had onion in it. The dog actually looked fairly healthy and well fed, unlike his owner and from what he was saying he tries to give the dog as much as he can. So fair play to him.

And now solo in The Project aka home, my manservant or indeed brother has departed after several post hospital days of looking after me and getting things organised.
Week on week comparison shows I'm making progress on the fitness recovery, must continue. Onwards.

A single day of unemployment tomorrow which will consist of a long pub lunch with some friends. Up at stupid o'clock on Monday to start the new job. Think I might be a glutton for punishment.
Great night was had, feeling slightly humbled by how many people came out tonight, some former colleagues from several years ago joined in which was nice.
