Morning all, day off so going out on the gravel bike to revisit some of the ride i did a wk ago. Suns out here with a bit of a breeze. Neighbours builders are currently tearing up their old carpark and part of the garden ready for granny annex footings. Local school parents are hating it as no where for them to park. Deddums they can walk the lazy fekkers.

WFH as had an early call with the Tokyo mob, who resheduled it at the last minute. Hey ho. At least it's not brass monkeys so don't need the heater going all the time like last week.

Yet another trip to the tip first thing followed by a turbo session. Which I thought was the best option given the winds gusting at 40 mph. Now it looks like I’m being dragged out to the shops.

Ride ridden, cut short for 🤔 some reason.Bert was supposed to have done one but didn't feel like it with crosswinds and headwinds. Pretty minging, but still managed 25 mile cross country.

Afternoon folks,
Last monday in this particular shitshow. Wobbled in and discovered the park was still shut so I had to ride around it which was mildly irritating. Still lots to do with tying up various loose ends and training my replacement. Leaving do on Thursday will now be the leaving do for 3 or 4 of us. Seems to confirm the right decision was made. Lots of people being very nice and telling me what a great loss I will be here, many of the girls are particularly sad I'm going which surprises me. I thought they'd be glad to be rid of the sex pest.
Better go, got a Teams meeting to do a bit more training with my replacement shortly.

V68, they say a change is as good as a rest. Also as we get older we tolerate idiots less and a lot of the younger generation are highly trained idiots. Enjoy the new job and the leaving do.

Took almost an hour to get to appointment instead of 25 mins. Roads everywhere either flooded or closed or accidents.
Back home. Cuppa tea. Install new HDD for video content. Back up NAS to new external HDD. Take more pills.

not a fun day, still a bit foggy after Saturdays tumbles, wife is giving me lots of hassle after pucking yesterday. But that’s the least of it as I went to a funeral for the wife of one of the chaps who works for my dad, she was only 40 with four young kids 🥲
