Diverge E5

Anyone got one? Thinking of buying a '22 E5 Comp - not been paying much attention to the gravel revolution anything worth knowing about these ?

Other option would be to go for a cross bike to keep options open for racing but in all honesty I've done one cross race in 20 years...

Thanks

What's your intended use DV. If your going to use for mainly comutting then not to bad, but if offroad then maybe worth spending a bit more. Not sure what your budget is but Whyte Gisburn V5 is available at leisurelakesbikes.com for 2k. It has big tyre clearance, sram rival etap axs gears, tubeless compatible, dropper post, 12 speed etc. It's a cracking bike but I'm biassed, your paying for the bike and decent parts and not the name and 11 speed. Plus point for the specialised is the fact suspension but not sure how good that is.

Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

I had an older Diverge E5 without the suspension. If you're looking at it for gravel riding be aware it's pretty limited on tyre size. 42mm is the absolute maximum but I used 40mm. If your local gravel routes are relatively smooth that will be fine, but I sold mine in favour of a bike which has much bigger tyre clearance. It would make for an excellent winter road bike with occasional towpath excursions though.
