Tacx Vortex trainer issue

Hi

Not sure if this is a me issue but I have an old Tacx Vortex smart trainer. It was getting harder and harder to lock the blue clamp handle into place.

I remove the two bolts that hold it to the shaft and this gave me access to clean it.

Put it back together and didnt end up using for months due to injury

I have just tried setting it up for winter and the blue clamp is not holding it's position . It moves along the shaft very freely but doesn't hold the position when you lock it, just comes back on itself

Anyone know what might be wrong here? Does it need some abrasion to hold or have i broken the mechanism?
