Morning
There was a man from Dundee, who tried to pee over a tree, the tree was too high, ...
If you want the rest of it, you'll have to be nice to me but nevertheless, that's where i'm off to.
Evelyn Waugh may have done better but I guess he was beaten to it.
There was a young lady of Devon, who was had in a garden by seven, itinerant priests, those lascivious beasts, such is the garden of heaven.
Coffee...

Decent drive and ride in - dry and mild but not a lot of luck with the traffic lights.
Gonna be a busy day here - I have a newspaper down the back of my financial trousers just in case...

Morning
Its dry but a bit grey here. Not sure what the day holds as Mrs W is currently putting together some shelves for under the stairs, there are also lots of shelving to be assembled for the stone shed. Which might mean my assistance might be required.

Morning all.
Dull but at least dry.
Rough few days since last chemo. Worst is a rash all over neck, chest and whole back. Itchy as F! Brisk stroll to hospital to pick up yet more meds to treat rash. Unfortunately it is steroids that gives me steroid induced diabetes!!! Back on insulin again I guess. Oh joys!
Brisk stroll back then mate is popping over to help fit my winter tyres on the car. Much coffee needed.
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Busy day sorting out a few messy jobs, mainly housekeeping to get them in some sort of order.
Paint some lines in the car park, if you want a job doing right etc etc...
Complete sideshow bob wig later after a trip to screwfix for parts.

Sounds like you need to blitz it with alcohol...

I'd love to do exactly that! However as it is Liver Cancer it's probably not a good idea!!!

I guessed you wouldn't take me too seriously 😊

Evening folks,
Reasonable wobble to and from shitshow central, shame about the bit in-between. Had the "what will it take for you to stay?" conversation this afternoon. Big boss from PE firm trying to keep me, if I'm such an essential part of the business why didn't I get paid more. Told him I was very flattered but would still be going, that and a few home truths about what they need to do. Couldn't convince him, round 2 tomorrow.
That sounds more than a little tedious PN69, hope you don't get too grumpy with the steroids. The EPO told me I'd be even more of an arsehole for a few days when I was taking them, I didn't know that was possible. Hope they sort out the rash. Amazing number of strange side effects to the chemo that you don't normally hear about. Hair loss being outwardly obvious is the one that gets discussed, but is utterly trivial to most blokes.
I'll have a drink to your health this evening, nothing to do with the fact I need one 😬

stick to your guns
once you've committed to the new job in your head, going back makes no sense, and can be damaging to reputation - clearly they had a long time to get value/performance/compensation correct, they failed, offering a deal to stay now just kicks the ball down the road, the problem will still be there
i'm drinking to the budget, left me alone, unlike the previous lot, chin chin

Exactly my thinking, doing the right thing is important. I've accepted the other job and said I'm going. Also, they'd have to give me about 20% more and another assistant to make it worth staying, which won't happen. If they were to offer that it would look really bad to my colleagues.
They can always try and poach me back later

How I miss the world of work. Not a lot. I hope you manage to keep it together till you leave V.

I'm giving my liver a work out now. Last email I sent was to tell the boss how many millions that NIC hike would cost us next year 😱

Steady on there, Stevo. At least pour me a double of spiced rum and coke! Sugar free of course. One has to look after ones health.

And cheaper - they're taxing sugar as well.

Get rid of that liver - it's nothing but trouble. TLW did and he's never looked back. Vodka is the solution; no sugar.

PN69 may not realise what TLW stands for...

I don't know what half of the crap on here stands for.
And I didn't know that V so was held in such high regard at GSF car parts
