Dark when I leave the house now, never mind when I get up. A day in the Big Smoke as there's lots of work and delegating to be done. And a new minion starts today so better show my face.

Got an absolute soaking on Monday nights run and my legs felt like jelly.

Got to the gym this morning and did a work out followed by a decent stretch session so felt much better.

Dog walked and in work by 9:10 so all in all a decent morning so far.

Morning Slackers. Definitely dark and damp when I left for work today. Working hard today as 3 bodies short for some reason. Maybe run later as less hassle than getting the bike out.

Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

Afternoon fellow slackers. I for one have been in total slack mode for the last few weeks since cancer diagnosis. Just seem so tired I snooze most days. Getting bored of that now. Need to find an interest that fires me up to do something. Got at least 3 unfinished model making projects. Just looked at them today but inspiration is low.

Ooh! Nearly lunch. Might snooze later.

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Day at home for a change - no taxi duty scheduled (back on tomorrow). Some sun, a lot of wind. Did some bike fettling in shed, thinking I will try and sell off the gravel bike experiment as the frame is a bit small for me.

Did a turbo ride instead, and a brisk walk to round out the day.

Good pedal although the wind chill and strength of it seriously countered the 15 deg c.

Decided to delay the off as I thought the longer I leave it, the better the temp will be and then remembered that my chainring bolts were squeaky. So elected to remove it and thread lock all the bolts back in, sequentially tighten and then go but that turned into a mission creep of general fettling and chain boiling.

    Afternoon folks,

Another day of orifice based fun and games. Didn't get wet whilst wobbling in at least, was rather fresh out though. Had a meeting with a supplier, had a go in his new Porsche Taycan thing. Fast as fook, but also very dull. The fake exhaust noise is just ridiculous. As he said, it might as well be a Nissan and half the price.

Not surprised you feel run down, emotionally draining would be an understatement. Make sure you rest after the chemo when that starts, is it next Monday you said? Not sure what type you are having, but I'd be knackered for a couple of days after each round, then gradually picked up until they hit me again.

Mr WS has this week finally had the last of his scheduled chemo treatments, and radiation finished a few weeks ago. On top of the (considerable) emotional strain of the whole process, the sheer physical impact on him has been pretty tough to see. Everyone is different in their response, and he was identified early as genetically at a disadvantage for chemo from a lack of specific enzymes to metabolise the drugs or something.

Given some other complications he has, the side effects have been pretty rough. Thankfully he's not had much of the nausea, but fatigue, brain fog, severe neuropathy and cold sensitivity, digestive issues, and weight loss have been significant. It'll be at least a couple more weeks yet before (hopefully) those symptoms start to ease. How long it takes to recover is anyone's guess.

    Afternoon.

Grim again here. I need to go out to pick my new cycling shoes from the shop, however I’m waiting for Mrs W who is trying to get the delivery for the new washing brought forward. It’s seems rather complicated given the company offer next delivery. Apparently the help line is in South Africa or the like and no one has the authority to make a decision.

This should have been posted this morning but I didn’t press post. But I can’t be arsed to change it now.

Apparently Ferarri are testing an electric model which has the fake 'zorst noises and fake quad exhaust pipes. It'll be the world's fastest and best looking washing machine.

And Home. Nice to spend a couple of days doing nothing much beyond holding or staring at granddaughter #1, who turned 3 weeks old today. Plus glam schooldays friend of daughter #1 brought round her son, now 4 1/2 months old. Jings he was big!

The long way home via M1/A1/A66 due to that muppet HGV driver on his phone or whatever dropping off the Thelwall viaduct. Foul weather all the way to Sheffield, backed off a bit by Cumbria, then when I crossed the borderline hello it's dry!

Veehickle unloaded, Belgie beers stashed, I've put the stove on, time for a relax glass or 2.

And tomorrow is back in the groove.

They could use the washing machine we have here in this holiday let for the noises. You need ear defenders when it’s on a spin.
