HT Under £1600

in MTB buying advice

Hi All,

I have a budget of up to £1600 for a HT which will mostly be used for XC with the group i ride nothing heavy off road, this will be used as a winter bike on cycle paths, few dirt tracks, during summer months were on road

i have checked and can see the following bikes in my price range

Trek Procaliber 9.5

Giant XTC SLR 1

Specialised Chisel HT Comp

Scott Scale 925

Cube reaction C:62 Pro & C:62 One

Canyon Exceed 4

most of the guys i ride with have the XTC and have mentioned the warranty, personally i love the look of the Trek,

I cant make my mind up, please help :-)

    Made a similar purchase earlier in the year. A bigger budget but a similar requirement - big mile loops, light trails and keeping up with my wife on her gravel bike.

    On my short list was the Trek, the Scott and the Canyon. I ended up with the Canyon Exceed 7 just because of sheer value for money - I've got another 3 Canyons so am happy with the direct sales model.

    Cheers for info, know what you mean about Canyon, they are very well specked for the price point,
