Just seen two peregrine falcons fighting mid air over some prey, which then fell and stuck in our hedge. Turned out to be a ringed homing pigeon. Phoned the number on it - the owner was training some birds and seemed to be losing quite a few. It had got from near Edinburgh to mid Borders though!

Afternoon folks,
Happy birthday Mr Summers, also a colleague's birthday so I abused him for being an old git. Unfortunately he's now the same age as me so it doesn't have much effect. He claims I'm still older but I told him we don't count 1/4 years now we're supposed to be adults.
Another day of orifice based drudgery, didn't even get to wobble in as i had to drive the EPO in. Mid you it's been raining so maybe that isn't altogether a bad thing, most schools seem to have broken up too. Lots of work to be done is battling with my inclination towards CBA. Today is my Friday as well as I'm off to the female child's graduation tomorrow. Might have a beer tonight then.

Today's adventure. Slowly recovering from the (non Gerry Cinnamon style) belter of a cold, so venture over to the big toon to collect some more materials for The Project fettling. Decide to call into the supermarket as well, as every little helps. Place is going through a refurb so nothing placed where it used to be, go round and round. Hmm, I'll pick up some wine, for remedial purposes of course.
see this bottle of Viognier, Cono Sur Bicicleta brand, has a bike logo on label, interesting. Pick it off bottom shelf to take a look, fumble, drop, smash, glass and white wine everywhere. Oops. A supermarket sweep first for me.
Hung around until sweeper upper arrived, keep people away from the mess, field the comments various from Joe and Jo P passing by... 🤓

Evening
Bit of a slow start to the day, did some rehab weights before going to the park with grandson. Who was most upset because he couldn’t find his goal keeping gloves. Then even more upset when he stubbed his finger saving a certain goal. So it was in to town for new gloves and to get the car washed at Mrs W ‘s request before tomorrows trip to France. However we went to wrong car wash and are now in the dog house, well really it’s just me who is. Mind she has taken us to pub for tea.
