Thru Axle Sizing

These axles confuse me a little - they come from a different bike and but they fit my existing road bike. I need to buy new thru axles for my existing bike (there are no markings on the thru axles) so I have at last some numbers, I know my road bike has 142 x 12 rear and 100 x 12 front thru axles.

My understanding is that the most important numbers are the length, diameter and pitch. OK so the top one is 166mm long, has a thread/pitch of M12 and 1.5 - but I'm not sure what the -16L is. The bottom is 120.5mm long and also has a thread/pitch of M12 and 1.5. Again what is the L10 marking? Are these 16L and L10 number the length of the M12/1.5 thread at the end? Also a confusing is these fit perfectly but I can't see how they relate to 142 x 12 and 100 x 12 😨

Forgive me please - I'm still not clear what the 166L and -16 mean on the top axle. I'm assuming the 166L is 166mm long - what is the -16L? The bottom axle has 120.5mm (is this the overall length) - what does the L10 mean?

OK I've believe I have it sorted. Both axles are 12mm and have a pitch of 1.5. The top axle is 166mm long and the bottom 120.5mm long. The top axle has a thread length of 16mm and the bottom a thread length of 10mm. The 142x12 and the 100x12 are the width of the standard road bike frame (100mm front forks and 142mm rear forks) and the diameter of the axle itself. Thru axles are obviously longer than the distance between the forks so there is enough to go through the frame material.
