Not saying I’ve been staying in Stockport a lot but just manager a local legend on a run 😂

work snizzle, then hotel pig based breakfast, hospital (found a good spot to work) then back home and out for a pals birthday party on a boat, knowing him it’s a free bar 😎

Top of the mornin' to ye.

Damn Heddlu sent me a letter. I'm hoping i'm offered a speed awareness course to avoid points.

    Anyhoo, it's very cycling weather.

    Morning

Saw physio yesterday and I need to start doing some weights. So that will this morning, later will be a cycle ride. I decided not to go out on todays boomers ride as it will 80 miles plus which might be pushing it for my second ride back.

@sungod I hope you're going to make the most of your two day heatwave.

At least it's dry here, probably gym after work and contemplating when to start a training plan.

Get caught by a mobile scamera? How fast were you going, you naughty boy?

    Morning Workers and Speeders,

Decent kip after yesterday evenings ride. Apart from when the tracking company thought my car was getting nicked as they tried to call me in the middle of the night but it hadn't moved when I looked out the window. More riding tomorrow as its sunny and a communt beckons.

    Onwards to tax mitigation.

51 in a 40. Saw the damn thing and i'm pretty sure there was no signage. Overtook a fuddy duddy doing 30 on the only bit of straight road in Wales after he held me up for 8 miles.

You might get away with a speed awareness course as long as you haven't been on one in the last 3 years - here's what a quick google of the rules say about 'eligibility':

"You haven't attended a speed awareness course in the past three years. The speed you were caught at was within the acceptable range. This is usually between the 'speed limit + 10% + 2mph' and the 'speed limit + 10% + 9mph' (for example, 35-42mph in a 30mph zone)."

I got put on one for doing 82 in a 70 just after I got The Panzer. Just resist the temptation to say to the lecturer on the course 'Yep, I'm well aware I was speeding, can I **** off now?'

Good ride was had in this brief hiatus from seemingly perennial pesky northerlies bringing precipitation which meant I could go east and then south. No Gi's to spoil the view.

    Afternoon folks,

Another busy day in the orifice after a pleasant wobble in the sunshine, unfortunately on the pub hack as I had to stop at the quack's on the way in to confirm I'm still alive. Apparently I am indeed, for the time being at any rate.

Out with the old bike lot this evening, wonder if we'll see the old Irish chap at the pub again. Hopefully we won't see him whilst on the bikes as I'm pretty sure he would show us up quite comprehensively. There's a free exhibition of 100 years of road cycling in Kingston this weekend, I'll be there as I stupidly offered to help man it if necessary.

I too had a good ride, no lakes though. However in the 8 weeks that I haven’t been riding outside 50 miles seems to got a lot longer.

Maybe doing the rehab weights first was rookie error.
