It comes together for team tactics

This stage just keeps getting more mental

Excellent team work from Visma, but for the first time, there are signs of Vingegaard cracking.
Looks as if his form has indeed plateaued.

The idea that he would be strong in week 3 always felt like hopium given his lead up.

It's like Pog has taken Stage 11 personally. No mercy!

Yeah ...visma saved him ..without WvA and Laporte up the road he would have lost big time

Jonas deserves credit for being competitive....he and his team rode really well and it wasn't the A team . Good defending champion energy

That was good stuff.
Visma rescued something from the stage, I don't think anyone had that as the plan for how to use their advance guard.

“Hopium”. Much likey. 👍😀
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
It's trying to follow the Tadej punch that's the issue I think. He's going a bit deeper than he should because he knows now that this year he can't reel back in so easily. Remco rode that far more progressively, taking advantage of Jonas going into the red early.
I doubt he's going to find an answer to that unless it's seriously baking all weekend - and even then, altitude and heat are supposedly the weak spots Pog has seriously strengthened.

Remco could be a minute or so closer on GC if he could descend

You deserve credit for excellent fanboing ;) Sprinkle in a bit of logic in the fanboidom; important for the credibility.

Not sure that's going to help him ride GC tbh...

Get him a cult following though, maybe get his own chant too.

He got dropped by Remco man!!
Get outa here with this fanboi nonsense

Pog loves lighting it up. Obviously confident and fantastic to watch. So all in for Jonas again and àgain or just save it for the TT? But Remco must be thinking about that 2nd place now.

Friday will see off remco I think.

No point in Jonas saving it for the TT, those are Pog's training roads. He'll see if he can do anything to dent him in the mountains and hope it's hot. That should see off Remco as well, unless Vingegaards form really does disintegrate

Visma have to go again on Friday, there's no other option. The odds would seem to point towards pog getting more time if they do that, but no point leaving the tour wondering.

Yeah, but honestly, he's not here to defend 2nd and if Remco can get through the mountains close enough to catch him in the TT then something has gone badly wrong somewhere, or Remco has pulled off an incredible strategy

The way he raced today, I don’t think he’s bothered about second place.
I am not sure folks should be writing off Remco on Friday’s stage. He’s looked solid and shows no sign of cracking. Plus the gradients he faces are more to his liking than in the Pyrenees.

Probably not, but he's not going to stop trying just to keep Remco behind him.
