How much faster?

I am considering getting rid of my BMC Road machine 2 Force axs 2022 model for a 2024 Giant TCR advanced pro 1 or 0. Ii find the BMC to feel very sluggish compared to previous road bike which was a Giant defy advanced pro 0 with Shimano Ultegra DI2. The BMC feels much harder ont he hills despite lower gearing it has 46/33 crank and a 10-36 cassette. The Giant had compact crank 50/34 and a 11-34 cassette why did that feel faster/easier on the hills than the BMC? so my question is will the Giant TCR advanced pro 1 or the 0 be faster than the BMC road machine which is a endurance bike? would it be quicker on the climbs as well? I would really appreciate any advice, thanks

Minimal would be my guess. I think "It's not all about the bike" has been trademarked.

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I find that endurance bikes feel sluggish, I prefer riding bikes with more agressive geometry becuase they feel more lively. I don't kid myself that I am going any faster though.

My advice is to change the bike if you don't like it and get something that you can love. And ignore the BS marketing.

You're trying to correct an inexpensive fix with an expensive fix!

What the hell am I talking about you scream?

The reason the Giant feels better and faster climbing hills is due to the compact gears and the chainring gears, so change the gears on the BMC to compact gears like you had on the Giant! Change the chainrings to the same ones that were on the Giant as well.

There, I saved you $5,400 by having you buy a set of compact gears and chainrings that at the most will cost you $300.
