Meh, yesterdays tester run worked so back in the game, well except this morning as it’s peeing down and I don’t want wet kit in the car for the day.

pig based breakfast soon and then lots of meetings. Maybe a run after work and then back home

    Morning

Grim round here. Need to fit some new tyres to alpine wheels and change brake blocks on my bike for holiday in a few time. Looking at the weather I think that will be todays high light.

    Morning.

Light drizzle so wobbled in on bike. Outlook remains meh. Nice day of sitting at a desk for a change. Glad of the rest.

Managed to book car into garage next week to investigate very annoying creak from suspension. A relief as driving 1200 miles to and around Scotland and back with that noise would drive me nuts.

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Good sleep had after yesterdays communt. Soggy here but busy so don't care too much as 'working from cave' so don't need to venture out much. I've left Mrs. 666 to brave the sogginess and take the hounds out for a walk. Also planning what to do with my multiple Fridays off this month and next.

    Afternoon folks,

Utterly knackered after a rather later night than was planned. Hadn't been asleep long when daughter woke me up to say the lad was stuck at Gatwick. His flight Sunday evening had been cancelled so he was put on a plane Monday evening, landed at 11.30 and got through customs to discover there were no trains running as someone had jumped in front of one, the buses had stopped running at 11.30, no cabs and in spite of the cost going from £50 to £120 he couldn't get an Uber. So after 2.5 days of driving I was back in the car driving in pissing rain to the bloody airport. Finally got back to bed about 3:15.

Now in the orifice trawling through a metric fucktonne of emails, unread is finally below 400 with about 150 already dealt with. The backlog of stupid questions can wait.

Need to go and see the old dear tonight and tell her that if 4 doctors and 2 physiotherapists have said the same thing she really should do what they say as there really isn't a magic wand option.

Oh, weather is shit here. Bloody Labour government need to sort it out.

Burned a pile of stuff in the paddock today.

Probably the last nearly normal day for us for some months I suspect.

Ok then, we ( myself, Mrs W and Cameron our grandson) are going on holiday to France. We are going to Samoens which I suspect you know is where the Col du Joux plan is. As I’m taking my bike and will attempt to ride up some of the hills in the area, often when you get to the top, you have to come back down and on occasion you may be required to brake to get round a corner. As I have a rim brakes on my bike, I thought it might be prudent to change the carbon rimmed wheels for alloy rimmed ones. As there is a school of thought that says carbon rims are likely to overheat with repeated braking which can cause the rim to delaminate or the inner tube to explode. Changing the wheels also requires a change of brake blocks.

I may also be braking excessively as I haven’t ridden my bike for 7 weeks due to shoulder surgery and may be a complete wuss when it comes to descending.

    Is this clear enough.

No. What the heck does [i'll abbreviate it] "...on my bike for holiday in a few time." mean.
