Valve Extenders with TPU Inner Tubes

I know you can get tpu inner tubes with long valves - but I'm wondering if anybody has experience of using valve extenders with tpu tubes(?). I'm not sure of the seal quality between the metal valve extender and the plastic valve when using pfte tape.

    My TPU tubes valves look way too flimsy to try, they are noticably thinner than regular valves.

    But it's the same price for 85mm valves so why don't you just get those then no need for extensions?

    I haven't used extensions in years because there is now decent availability of long valve tubes.

    I use a valve extender for my 85mm deep rim TT rear wheel

    It fits onto a Pirelli TPU SmarTube. Just took the valve core out, screwed in extender then refitted the core. No leaks at the seal or valve. The Pirellis have metal rather than plastic valve stems. Never considered PTFE tape

    The tech specs on all the TPU inners I've seen, including the Pirellis, say that the valve cores aren't removable. Didn't know that when I did it
