Nah, I was taking the mick a bit. The island was badly signalled so he did well to avoid it, I guess his contact as he swerved ultimately resulted in the first rider going down though. Surprised he was so far back.

Road giving off slide out vibes

It wouldn't have taken much for his manoeuvre to cause a crash though - he seemed to see it really late, almost come to a halt and turn right into the peloton.

Gone very wet now. Seems to have spurred the riders into getting back to their hotels though.

The weather sure has turned mucky....

    There may be crashes ahead.

    But while there's moonlight

And music and love and romance

Let's face the music and dance.🤪

Ah fair do's, though at first glance from the non zoomed shot it did seem like it could be the case, and indeed that was what Rowe called it as, don't think she corrected herself either?

Laporte does the mandatory crash for Jumbo whilst trying to ride straight through an island. Has better luck than most of the team this season.

The endless talk about Cavendish's chances on Eurosport is basically dooming him for the whole tour, isn't it?

Astana spending too much time on the front, way too early.

I think if Cavendish is going to win a stage, he will come off the wheel of another sprinter. Therefore Mørkøv and the rest of the team's job is just to get him in a position where he can pick a wheel.

Little gaps seem to be springing up behind the front 20-30 riders.

I wonder when Astana will start pressing? Cav won't be anywhere if they don't press.
