Hectic here as Shorty of off to secondary school transition days but on the plus side, I am not playing taxi.
Met a guy who had a garaged Cayman which did nothing (22,000 miles in 11 years) whilst he hit the bottle after his wife passed away. Lived like a hermit. He tried to sell me the Cayman in 2019. Hardly recognised him as he had put on weight and obviously cleaned himself up and there he was sat aside his brand spanking new 911 992 3.0L twin turbo in dark metallic grey picked up on Friday! What a gorgeous machine. Nobody knows where he got his money from and he is well into his 70's.
Lurgy has descended on me and all inhabitants of Casa Pinno except Beans.
More coffee then more coffee then go pay conveyancing fees/sign documents. Boy they know how to charge.

Had a quick go at using the vac which was a bit of struggle left handed. What is it with people who are happy to point out you’ve missed a bit when you’ve dusted. But are oblivious to large fluff balls when it’s down to them to clean. As it’s not currently raining I might go for a walk.

Day WFH before 2 days in the office on the trot - shock, horror. Senior hound must be having a mid life crisis as he parked himself outside juniors bedroom door last night and wouldn't shift 'till we let him in. She's still at uni but he insisted on sleeping on her bed so we left him to it and kept the door open/landing light on in case he changed his mind, but he stayed there the whole night.

Shirt nights sleep yet again so was a little miffed at the 5.50am alarm call but managed it anyway and walked to the gym.

Afternoon folks, despite the warming drier weather and having had a rest day yesterday, I'm feeling high on the "meh" scale about taking the road bike out for its first proper ride on the VEL carbon wheels. Mentally and physically wiped out, caffeine has barely done anything and my eyes feel like the hayfever tablets were fakes.
Probably not helped by it being over two weeks since I last did an outdoor 60min+ ride, due to downturn in weather and becoming a turbo hermit again.
Only two days until longest day and still haven't done an evening ride to anywhere near Old Winchester Hill ridge!😱

She would probably do some minor stuff, but this was needing a lot more than that and for some strange reason the church weren't including the front garden (it was a Manse)
Wasn't too bad , had lunch outside at Kilsyth and it had stayed dry in the Borders.

Previous job was about an hr each way by bike so had to be out the door by 4.15 to give me chance to shower and get changed etc before shift. It also meant I could skedaddle a bit earlier as well.

Right Gents. I'm after some recommendations from the petrol heads amongst you. I need a car show to take youngest brat to that's actually worth going to. Looking approx 2hrs from midlands. He's into basically anything car related except classic unless it's modified. Have seen Gravity advertised at NEC but doesn't look that big tbh
