    Morning les égoïstes

    Rainy chilly breezy meh.

It's an el Niña year. Flooding and 200 deaths in Kenya. That wasn't on the news.

    Anyhoo, coffee before rollering later.

Going for a big walk with the gym lot. Probably a pit stop involved somewhere along the route.

    Advocate of disc brakes.
  • Cool, less windy, off for ride with OH, village hall coffee stop.

Day off chores round here, took a long drive up the coast to pick up some tools bought off FarceBonk. Some great, some good, a few probably past their best. But never mind the bargains. Bloke tidying up his Dad's workshop because Old Man is in a home with dementia and his Mum is "not well".

He clearly had little clue what the stuff actually was, just that he was trying to clear out the shed full of stuff.

Cold and showery day anyway, so not much good for doing anything else.

I saw a reel on IG of a dual carriageway in a cutting flooding spectacularly after what looked like someone's garden fence giving up after holding back about a metre of floodwater.

Did a bit of research and it was in Germany and recently 😶

    'noon

Physio chores done, Gym class done, even got out on the bike for half an hour.

Housework mostly completed. Made sure to hoover the wall with next door meticulously after they decided to spend 6am-6:30am yesterday punching it while doing the usual shouting down the phone at someone.

Need to finish packing as being sent away with work for a few days.

    Afternoon folks,

Traditional slow start was enjoyed, this was followed by a few chores. Getting stuff out the loft in preparation for holiday was one. Apparently I'll be too busy to do it next week 🙄

Looks like a showery week coming up, hopefully no flooding. Italy's had some flash floods recently as well. The weather is all a bit screwy.

    Afternoon Peeps,

Went to a 'classic' car meet down in deepest darkest Kent this morning. Loads of different stuff old and new plis plenty of coffee and bacon butties to keep us fuelled & hydrated in the sun.

Junior was due to go back to uni first thing this morning but hasn't left yet as she seems to be a bit disorganised on the packing front...

Mine would have to be the KTM or the 4x4

Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

Quite like the proper Quattro, but I'd take the Exige or the 914/6 quite happily.

That NSX looked really nice up close.

    Afternoon.

Decidedly cool and windy. Nice 50 miler with the group. Arm warmers just about enough. Crazy for June. Nice to get some cycling legs back though.

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

  • Good rode with OH, bit Breezy but not too bad, bargain lunch in a village hall - soup and a roll, fried egg roll, 2x carrot cake and a coffee £14. All very good as well.

    Afternoon

Out for a walk, got deluged on several times. At least my rain jacket is getting some use. Now catching on the cycling then it will a glass of two of wine.

Isn't it enough to know that they're Welsh?

That house is rented out by some guy who moved to Ireland. I've been here since 2009 and there have been 5 or 6 different people in - 2 have been vaguely normal but only really got on with 1 of the families that moved in, then the landlord kicked them out saying he wanted to sell up but moved his daughter in who was probably the worst (the one with the dogs she left on their own howling for 12 hours a day, might've mentioned that one).

This lot seemed OK when they moved in but are very loud, especially the husband who you can hear coming up the road from 2 streets away when he's on the phone. She left her car window open the other day when we had a big storm. I covered it up with a tarp and told her but she didn't seem bothered. Still not sure how many kids they have, it's at least 3, maybe 5. The kids are noisy but only as much as kids normally are.

One works days, the other works nights so they only cross over for a few hours each day. Secret to a happy marriage maybe?
