Morning all. Dry and nearly blue sky's here for a change. Local parkrun soon followed by lazing with the mutt till OH,s taxi service required. Sort some stuff out ready for tomorrow's airshow. Hopefully not massively impacted by recent tragic spitfire accident 😢. Feel sorry for the family of the pilot. Have a good wkend all.

Summers here...but some reason it doesn't feel like it. Fresh outing either the hounds in a bit then head into town to grab lunch, supplies and chill a bit. CL final tonight so may watch that.

    Morning. Sunny sun here.

Shopping shopped. Shopping #2 shopped. Bread baking. Coffee brewing. Car tinkering later to fit dashcam. Bike fettling after. I think Tuesdays deluge rinsed all the lube out of my chain.

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Yeah. Can it blow out of the East please? I want to go over the moors on the hills far away and listen to the Cuckoo's and skylarks whilst fuelled on home made Flapjacks and extra coffee.

Still a bit flat after C19 Jab. prefer the Astra Zeneca to the Moderna.

    Afternoon folks,

Traditional slow start was enjoyed, need to do a little gentle pottering today. Not too much as glassback still giving me gyp. All day Wednesday sat down really didn't help.

Rather cold and breezy here as well, roll on summer.

Have you been to see a chiropractor or whatever V? They seemed to do me a bit of good when I had sciatica once.

Yes, had a few sessions of wallet lightening which helped. Wednesday just put me right back again. Trying to do the exercises I was given more to see if that helps but I might have to pay for a pummeling again.

Afternoon, slightly cool northerly breeze, taking a while for outdoors to warm up.

Still in recovery from doing my first Zwift Insider Tiny Races in a while this morning, trying the new VO2 pen allocation... Might try and pedal outside in easiest gears for a while after lunch.

tidied up after last night, the last people left at 4am 😳

house warming sesh at 3, might abstain for an hour or so.

  • Lovely day still here, strimming done, having lunch outside and ended up watching a young tawny owl being fed a mouse/vole by one of its parents.....

If I sit for long hours building my Lego empire, my back gets sore. I have invested in roller for doing ABS and this also helps strengthen the lower back. Up until this year, I would guarantee putting my back out at least twice a year with zero warning. So far this year, I have been fine.

By incorporating an ab roller into your training regimen, you can enjoy the following benefits:

    • IMPROVED CORE STRENGTH. ...
    • INCREASED MUSCLE ACTIVATION. ...
    • BETTER POSTURE. ...
    • IMPROVED BALANCE & STABILITY. ...
    • REDUCED RISK OF INJURY. ...
    • CONVENIENT & AFFORDABLE. ...
    • VERSATILE.

Pinno is over 50 now so he's classed as vulnerable anyway.

It was this sort of back related grief that made me take up cycling again about 15 years ago. Every cloud...

    Evening

Went to some shopping centre in Bristol to get daughter dearest a birthday present. Also got some Rapha stuff which was on sale in John Lewis. There was a Ribble boutique bike shop which probably had ten bikes on show, they looked nice but it was all a bit car showroomie. Went for a walk, now waiting for an Indian to be delivered.

Hmm, saw one of those in Home Bargains just now and thought nah. I'll see if there's one at the gym.

Pilates helped with my back for a while but now just seems to cause more pain.

Treasure hunt set up, punters came, most went home happy.

New antenna assembled, erected, caused some interest across the ether, dismantled and packed away without breaking too much of it.

Sunny here for the 3 hours I've been up and at home today but cloudy the whole time I've been out.

Did the local time trial last night and glad I did despite feeling rough has hell. Coming back through the village past the pubs and the castle round the twisties at almost 30 mph with the tailwind was great.

Currently sat outside the pub midway through a evening hack out with mates with a beer. Lovely evening.

Sweated a bit in the sauna earlier. Had to cool down with a large G&T.
