It's God's way of punishing you for living in Sweatland.

It's still sunny down here so off out for a ride with a mate shortly. That's all I have planned so far.

Meh. Rain. Rent-a-dog needs walking.
A wash out of a bank holiday. And why do banks get special privileges anyway?

Morning folks,
Slowish start was enjoyed, bits of pottering to be done. Lad is coming over shortly as another pair of eyes for proofreading the lass' dissertation. She's submitting it this evening or tomorrow, hopefully this evening as that should significantly lower the stress levels in the house. She's sticking around until Friday then going back to Brighton to enjoy a bit of sun and sea hopefully, although wind and rain are more likely.

Sunny with torrential showers here. Trying to get some gardening done.
On the plus side I'm back to "farting with confidence" or "how I learned to stop worrying and trust my arse again"
Maybe cycle later. Much coffee for sure.
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Afternoon.
Now sunny here but it’s been looking very black at times. Went for walk and it started pissing down just as I got back. Right arm/ shoulder is now a lovely shade of purple and yellow. Not sure what to do with the rest of day as there’s no cycling to watch.

'noon
Most of the old sucked out of the car and replaced so just need to turn off the service light.
3D printer busy printing things. Reminder for going back to work tomorrow set on phone.
Might get out for something fun later.

Thought I'd pay some love and attention to my bike by giving it a clean, went into the garage to get something and a sudden gust of wind blew the stand over 🙄 Took a bit of paint off a front dropout and scratched a brake lever, irritating to say the least. Then the heavens opened to add insult to injury.
Put everything in the garage and came indoors for a coffee

If it's any consolation V, it started tipped down while we were out riding so we took shelter at a village bus stop and scoffed some jelly beans 'till it cleared up a bit.

"Farting with confidence" 😄

At least you had jelly beans 👍
Utterly miserable out there, been nice to the lads bike as he rode over. New hoods as the rubber had perished quite badly, offered new bar tape but he declined as it gets locked up around Stockwell quite often so he's keeping it deliberately tatty, who'd steal a scruffy old road bike. Hopefully thieves won't notice the quality of it under the rattle can paint job.

Cycled back from Eyemouth after the C2C, got a couple of hours in the dry, then about 3 heavy showers 🙄.
At least it stopped raining when we got back to the house..... 401miles total and a very scenic route!

Always carry jelly beans, I need the energy.
Rat bike = good idea. I'm thinking of getting one for the house <---> local train station run on days when I fancy a beer or two in town and can't use the car.

I would have a planet flex would be just about up to that sort of stuff🤣🤣🤣🤣

Once more in a proper sentence? 😉

You don’t know what a planet flex is. So a planet flex is bike sold by a company in Sheffield who buy frames from China which seem value for money but are rather flexey when you put the power down( might not be a big issue for you😉) They are considered amongst us bike snobs as something that we might use to use as a pub bike.
A bit like your good self looking down on folk who don’t drive a panzer.🤣🤣🤣🤣

I bought some Planet flex stuff once. Never again.
The sun popped out and I thought I would go for a bike ride. So I went for a bike ride.

Nah, jelly beans are way better.

I might said I would have one for nothing but there’s no way I’d buy one.

Colin the Caterpillar fruit sours are the thing for 4 hours plus riding.

Bits to make a new antenna. Needed something to clamp 4 bamboo canes in a particular cross shape.

Cross pattern cable ties?
seanoconn - gruagach craic!1 -
They don't cross at 90 degrees, like this one someone else made earlier...
I'm not sure strapping them together with cable ties would hold the shape right. I could cable tie them to a piece of plywood or plastic but it needs to be demountable to carry up and down a mountain:
