135 QR to 142 x12

Currently building a Merlin G2X gravel frame up as a budget build from various bits I have collected over the years. Main problem is im trying to use some Fulcrum 27.5 wheels which currently to QR spec . The frame is 12 x 100 on the front which I have the correct end caps for. The problem is the rear . Fulcrum do a kit to convert the rear hub to 142 but so far they have failed to deliver this kit and after 3 months I need to get this bike on the road. Could I just use some 3mm spacers (washers) on each side to do the job or has anyone else had this problem and knows a work around .
