Breakfast , coffee, ride later. How little to wear on the bike?

Gentle walk with hounds to save the legs ready for tomorrows race in the Lake District.
issue being is the family are ill and have passed it on to add with a dodgy ankle 🤬
trying to get out of work early to make registration at a reasonable time

Yeah. Odd wearing shorts.

Up at silly o'clock strimming. Then go strim rental property. Then come back and mow. It's just shooting up. Harder to keep up with than Mrs Seanoconn's bush whacking.

Morning
Another warm one. Climbed and lifted some weights already as I’ve got help set up the village hall for some charity afternoon tea thing. Ordered another pair of approach shoes as walking will the main activity after my shoulder op, they seem pricey these days.

WFW, shopping later the saturday BBQ. Fettle bike, drink beer, tidy the house.

New mower made short work of the grass at the front the other day so onto the back garden this weekend.
Decent freebie night out getting fed and watered, but a bit tired still this morning and lots to do for a Friday. Now sitting in the cave with the door open as it's warmer outside than in so far.
Boss should be calling at some point with news of my pay hike and bonus as I dished out the news to the minions yesterday.

I bet the minions are over the moon with your pay hike and bonus 😃

had a warm sunny ride up to top of london, just one coffee stop as cafes are mostly rammed
arranged some hols
considering doing a bit of wfh

Sunny and fairly warm 75km ride , too rural for cafes, so we had a cold (low alcohol) Leffe at mine at the end.
Just getting some lunch outside whilst watching OH mow the grass! Living the life 😎

Afternoon folks,
A busy day of wfh, was hoping shirking would be more than the working but it was not to be. Off to the pub shortly, sitting outside in the sunshine will be novel.
Wobbled over to the old dear's on the old italian roadie last night. 23mm tubs at 120psi are rather jiggly on unmade paths. Hadn't forgotten how to use downtube shifters, it seems its a bit like riding a bike in that respect.
No racing for me this weekend for obvious reasons.
Onwards and upwards...

So, it happens again. Here's me jeffed after another day of clear skies sunny warm weather, shorts on heavy shifting work removing the building debris pile. Tired so just opened first coldie ahead of a hot soak to come. Then see the multiple aurora alerts for tonight and over weekend, big action being predicted. Twilight lasts a long time now. Can I stay awake long enough to venture out for a look see? And no, cannot drive out of town to get even darker skies, not after a 75cl 7.5% Hommelbier. I shall see, or not.

Stay awake and take some pics 👍

Wasn’t long ago 23mm was the norm.* Hope it wasn’t long ago or I’m aging quicker than I’d like.
* SG doesn’t count as norm.

If only there was a pic circulating of my wife mowing the grass 🤔

Is that a euphemism?

I've only ever known one person called Norm, but he was actually called David.
Pleasant evening sat in the sun drinking with the EPO and friends, good start to the weekend.

22mm or less, it's the law

You definitely not 'norm'.
28mm for real world riding at 60psi.

With state of most roads fatbike tyres are almost needed. Seem to remember I started on 23s but soon learnt to go bigger.
Too many bikes according to Mrs O.0 -
soft and obese vs. hard and sleek :)

You cheeky fuXXer. I am bordering on super waif which means I can ride my cushty tyres at a low pressure which suits my bony aris.
