E Thirteen Chainring replacements - Incredibly Expensive

I am now looking to replace the drivetrain on the Trek Roscoe 9 for the first time and everything else was easy to find except the replacement on the chainring.

The crankset is E Thirteen and it appears that it is only compatible with E Thirteen chainrings. The prices of these are around £65 to £85 + A £25 tool needed specifically to fit them.

I am used to paying around £20 on my other bike and previous bikes to replace the chainring.

Is there a way around having to pay so much to replace the chainring other than selling these cranks?
