Another train strike so WFH. Could have gone in using car and bike but CBA as nobody else will be in the office, so seemed a bit pointless to sit on my own when I could do that here and save 3 hours in the day.

if it's not protected against sliding a card in, try that, otherwise if it's the style with the handle that sticks out to the side, drill hole in door in correct*** position to stick a screwdriver/similar through to turn the handle, fill hole, dab of paint, no one need know

End of road trip. Ferry home tomorrow night. Been ok, not my ideal holiday by any stretch, but visiting Mr WS’s family and friends was the priority. Done. Will be nice to get back to some normal life things again.

the locks are expensive, had to replace one recently so not messing with those. Luckily front door isn’t double glazed and has several small panes of glass, so smashy smashy I still have some glass from the last time I had to break in and just bought and some glass beading to replace what I’ll no doubt damage.

Change the lock away from the night latch yale lock type. If you need to lock with a key on exit then... you can't lock yourself out, innit.
I managed to do similar when I was in that rental place, in covid times so usually daughter around the corner would be able to step up with a spare key. My
daftnessmistake coincided with her being away for the weekend for first time in ages. Break the glass, board it, call in the man to replace, pay the bill. And do not repeat. 🤔1 -

Reasonably pleasant wobble in, shame about the destination. Usual shitshow in here of course, there seems to be more stupidity than normal around today.
How many seconds was it from when the door clicked shut to Seano realising he didn't have the keys? I reckon it was less than 2 as the sound of the door clicking is what made triggered the awareness. Not that it's ever happened to me of course. Luckily I know who has a spare. I seem to have become the holder of half a dozen sets of keys for neighbours.
Probably going to get wet going home if the forecast is to be believed, does that mean i have a 50/50 chance?
