Looks damp outside - what a surprise.

walk hounds who are pleased to see me as they get a decent walk.

work stuff then off to the gym for a session with a S&C coach, then undo the good work at the pub.

Morning. Soggy here to. Mutt walked and getting ready to put a new shed up for daughter with young oxo. Should be fun in the rain. Pick gravel bike up later then reunion with colleagues from a previous job, the beer should be flowing.

Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

Mango's beat Pineapples into 3rd any day as Papaya tops the lot.

It's not raining. Yesterday was far better than expected.

Beans slept from 7.45am and appeared at 4.03pm. Then it rained a little after he got up and then suffered cabin fever. Took him a jolly around the garden when the rain relented and he shot up a tree to show me his prowess. Then he was stuck, mewing at me. I left him up there. Bye Beans.

You know you could kick off WW3 with fruitist language like that that. Be glad that SG isn't Scottish as otherwise he'll be reporting you for a hate crime.

Soggy morning, still sorting out year end number torturing but should be over the worst of it soon. Pity I'm not in the office today as I won't get to see the look on the Man U fans faces 😀

Just as well it was her choice or we'd have to disown you..

This weather is 'kin pants. And Kathleen is incoming. 'kin depressing. I have lots to do outside but hardly ever is dry enough to even apply masonry paint let alone get digging, either for paving or planting. So just have to tap away on t'interweb instead. Life eh.

I'm finding it's no so much the rain, it's the changeability and inaccuracy of the forecasts making it impossible to plan things.

50 mph winds might spice up tomorrow's 10 mile TT though.

    Afternoon

Todays forecasted deluge failed to show although it is a touch breezy. Went for a ride with grandson, then went for a ride on my own and managed a few intervals despite the breeze. About to have some food smells spicy. Might watch some cycling later if todays race was completed.

    Evening folks,

Busy day of WFH, not enough shirking was done. Was reasonably pleasant when I went out at lunchtime.

EPO is hosting book club so female child and I are hiding in the front room. Would have gone to the pub but I have to collect the old dear from the airport later, flight has been delayed and gets in at 00:20 now. Hopefully they'll let her in without any problems this time, the fact that she's lived here for 54 years didn't seem to help at passport control when she came back after Christmas. Might need the slow start tomorrow.

Cross fingers Kathleen doesn't delay the flight more.

  • I was pleasantly surprised at the James Blunt gig - he was really good, excellent band and livened up versions of his songs , enjoyed it!

Not been too bad down here, thankfully landed just before the predicted late arrival time. Now waiting at arrivals, will she appear on the pre-booked special assistance wagon or will she get bored of waiting and walk through on her own?
