Overnight Blowout
Hi There
i had a blowout on my Bike overnight while in shed, is this a case of worn out tyre sidewall, the rim is not bent in any way, the rim wear line is still visible, the tires where not expensive ones they was the lifeline commuter tyres, (folding ones)

If the bike has rim brakes, sometimes the brake pads wear in such a way that they touch the tyre just above the bead. In a very short time, the tyre wears through. Check for a lip on the pad.

Is there a hole in the tyre itself or just the inner tube?

I've had a mtb tube / tyre explode whilst stationary at a coffee stop. Nearly 💩 myself. I put it down to heat at the time, I since think that the tyre may not have been sat 100% on the rim correctly. I've also learnt with tubeless to reduce pressure if leaving in the car in warm weather due to pressures increasing. A weak sidewall can let go especially at road pressures if tubed.

I checked brakes yesterday and they seemed to be touching the rims correctly

I once made the mistake of assembling my bike and pumping up the tyres in a Mallorca air conditioned room. I then put it out on the balcony in full sunshine. Lesson learned! 🤣
