London Dynamo Richmond Park Time Trials 2024

These unique highly regarded events are back for 2024. On the 23rd June and the 7th July.

We have a new sponsor; we are excited that Vallee Cycling are joining Richmond Cycles in sponsoring these events. They will be supplying the prize pot in the form of Richmond Cycle and Vallee Cycling vouchers.

As last year the event will be timed using a chip transponder system.

The additional men’s and women’s Road 3-Up TTT categories will be returning for our July event. We are limiting the number of teams that can enter these events. So, if you are keen, you need to get your entry in quickly. The RiderHQ entry system means that one person from the team will need to enter and pay for the entire team. You will then need to sort the finances between yourselves.

The existing categories are remaining in both events:

Junior Female

Junior Male

Men’s Road

Men’s TT

Para

Women’s Road

Women’s TT

For those of you unfamiliar with the event, the first rider starts at 06:00:30 and they follow at 30 second intervals, so you should get a near traffic free ride. Total distance 10.4 miles. In summary the route now starts on the road leading to Pen Ponds car park close to Robin Hood roundabout by the horse track sign. It continues past Pen Ponds car park and past the Ballet School, descending to Sheen roundabout from here it climbs up Sawyers Hill to Richmond roundabout and continues to Kingston roundabout where the route turns back on itself and retraces itself to the start. It then continues to Robin Hood roundabout where it turns left towards Roehampton. The finish is just a little before Beverley Brook bridge (the one without the bollards). This new route is the same distance as the old route 10.4 miles. It’s the only TT that has been allowed to run by the Royal Parks so a unique event.

Additional ROAD bike category information

If you enter into the Men’s or Women’s Road categories then your bike must not have aerobars attached. Wheels must have rims no more than 90mm deep. Aero TT helmets are NOT allowed (aero Road helmets, e.g. Specialized Evade, Giro Air Attack, are acceptable).

If you break any of these rules you can still ride, but we’ll categorise you as a TT rider. If you break these rules in the 3-up road category, then you will be disqualified.

We will be opening the entries for both events on the same day 1st April 1230 at RiderHQ:

This year again we have kept the entry fee the same as 2022. £16 for adult and £8 for junior.

Finally, we have a short promotional video for the events to remind you what the park looks like in the summer.
