Day 2, hopefully less bogs and fields made of just mud.

pig based breakfast, fettle my bike (gears mucked up after a gentle off), then we go. Once finished it’s a couple of hours on the train, so a visit to the off licence I assume.

On the train again, more fun torturing numbers awaits. Fingers crossed the weather improves later this week so I can get a ride in.

An attempt to clear my desk will begin today, with a few G&Ts later.

    Morning folks,

WFH today so a slightly delayed start before commuting down the stairs. Forecast was for rain this morning, but it's been sunny so far. I'm sure it would have rained if I was riding. B³ and Seano can thank me for that later. My influence on the weather clearly didn't reach as far as Kent but SG may have benefitted from it.

Hope the ride goes well TLW, I'm sure that will be a well earned drink at the end. I fancy doing the South Downs Way sometime, that gets really claggy I believe. I won't be one of the lunatics trying to do it both ways within 24 hours. One way in a day might be achievable if I get fitter.

Out with the FD for drinks later, hopefully get more info on WTF is going on.

    Afternoon

Its not been a bad day here so far, dry and bright. Winter bike cleaned to get a better look at bottom bracket which has a bit of wobble in it. Took the cranks off and it pulled out which I suspect it’s not supposed to do. Did some climbing and just prepared the evening meal from when Mrs W gets in from work and the car dealers. It seems getting your fight deck working isn’t that simple and Miss Google has trouble understanding a Yorkshire accent.

Finished at 2:30 pm and caught the 2 hr train at 4:30 - it’s fair to say I’m glad the current wife picked me up rather than I cycled as I enjoyed a lot of cider in between
