Morning all, nice and dry here so may be trying out the new mower later. Dental hygienist later so no doubt will be abused and relieved of hard earned cash for the pleasure. Not. Gravel bike being dropped off for service/ upgrade ready for the Dirty Reiver. Maybe slope off on plastic bike later as well if time. It's great not working on a Friday when it's nice weather.

Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

    Grey and dry here

Walking today with a couple of mates so I'm hoping it stays dry, as least until we find a pub. πŸ˜‰ Happy days

Mudguards level of damp this morning but the sun's out now and hoping it stays that way.

Can't decide whether to show my face or not at the local TT tomorrow and need to enter in advance. None of this turning up on the day business any more.

I saw the hygienist on Wednesday. Well, nearly didn't as my appointment had been cancelled but they hadn't told me. Luckily they had a new hygienist that has a spare slot at my 9am cancelled slot. She was OK, not too harsh. She was happy with my gum health. Top tip - pop a couple of paracetamol an hour before. It really takes the edge off. Tramadol if you want to go on a full-on float.

    Morning whores.

I suppose punctuation could make quite a difference on my opening greeting. Oh well, just lined Bezos' pockets again.

Pub last night with slow cooked lamb shoulder, I could never be a veggie as long as those animals roam the earth. Feeling it today though...

Hot tub is gently warming for later and I need to sort some fishing bits for taking away.

    Morning

Bright and very breezy here. Just finishing second coffee before we head out to pick up Mrs W new car then possibly a bit of lunch before meeting the estate agent at her parents house. She’s decided to sack of the original agent as they didn’t seem to be doing much to try and sell it.

Not sure whether any bikes will get ridden today and it certainly looks like a day to avoid riding on your deep rims.

Decent night out having a few drinks with the minions last night. My round came to Β£65 as most of them turned up on time. Busy morning for a Friday, so just stopping for a break. Roll on the weekend, off to a gig tomorrow and pedalling on Sunday.

Overalls, facemask, headtorch, helmet and gloves, bit windy, but sweating inside all the gear is the worst bit πŸ₯΅

Feeling a lot better today, so much more active with Stuff going on, final external render coat gone on to new porch and seems to be setting fine, despite the occasional passing shower, which the builders were not expecting.

Getting prepped for the planned trip dahn saff, first time will be with daughter #1 since got the news I'll be a granddad this year. The generational clock keeps ticking.

Then chill, catch up on E3 and apparently Netherlands v Scotland is showing on BBC, so I was told. Quick check: no it's not, highlights only post match. Delete that.

    Afternoon folks,

Busy day in the orifice, to compensate for coming in on a Friday we went to the cafe for a fry up. Felt decidedly snoozy for most of the afternoon as a result. Off to a local gig tonight and one in big town tomorrow. Ears will be bleeding on Sunday.

Looks sunny out now, was grim and cold earlier.

Windy ride home the longer/scenic way wasn't too windy in the end, and it was sunny most of the way.

One council have done an excellent job of fixing the road and making it worse, the other has resurfaced the section that was OK but not fixed the section with the football sized potholes πŸ˜‚

NowTV have emailed to say my broadband contract is up (it was up 24 months ago). Similar email with options as the last 2 years:

    • New 12 month contract, 63Mb BB, free anytime calls - Β£29.50/month
    • New 12 month contract, 63Mb BB, pay as you go calls - Β£38.50/month
    • 1 month roling contract (keeping what I have now), 63Mb BB, free anytime calls - Β£27.50/month

I must be missing something in the smallprint somewhere.

Picked up Mrs W new car however attempts to get the Star ship Enterprise computer system working failed as it would seem something was amiss with Volvos internet. Otherwise it’s very nice but given it’s an automatic it’s a bit of shock when Mrs W tries to change gear by using the brake pedal as the clutch.😱

I was fueling da mowtah this pm, dahn saff trip tomorrow, at in town Jet when this guy made me jump, came up behind me and started speaking... you wot? Was looking for some help to battery lead jump start his 90s Jaguar XJS (?) sitting over there. Aye, no worries, I'll come over.

Wire it up, battery in boot? πŸ€”, I'm revving, nada. Nowt. Nothing. Hmmm: you could go to the garage (I know them, bought the rumblewagon off me, helpful people) just up the road there... No we asked them but they couldn't help us... πŸ€” wtf is going on here? Are these 2 guys a pair of dodgies? Known to the (all their lives) locals? Eh, see you guys, hope you get sorted... And away!

One has to learn woss gahn on in one's locality.

Had an absolutely fabulous evening. Went to a gig with a mate and the lad. Really good fun, this was followed by a few drinks finishing up in the nearest pub. Landlord has known the lad since he was a baby, may have stayed beyond closing time.
