Morning Jets d'eau ambulant
Mission Preston aborted given the weather forecast of gopping, gopping gopping followed by more gopping. Although, tomorrow might be more gopping too.
Will do other stuff instead.
Coffee...
Laters.

Morning peeps. Mild and gloomy for a change.
Question: I’ve ordered a new cassette and chain. Should I get some quick links? Are all quick links equal? Shimano 11 speed chain. And will a chain breaker on a bike tool get the job done or should I invest in some chain tools? Thanks.

Quick links are great. You can also get quick link pliers to save swearing whilst in the garage/shed.
Early start in the office today, staff down, business up, chaos looms.

i've used connex ones for umpteen years, no tools required, very easy to fit/remove with fingers

multitool chain breaker should be fine for intermittent use

consider using wax not grease, less wear, stays really clean

But but will Seano do it regular like in really wet weather?

After last night, it seems like it's going to be a day of making sure that the world doesn't fall out of my bottom while I'm at school.

Yeah, I finally invested in QL pliers, as sometimes the QLs come apart easily, and other times fight back, if not using pliers. I always get KMC chains as they come with QLs as standard.

You don't need fancy pants pliers with a Connex link.

mild out for stroll, and delightfully dry
productive morning boosting the economy, encouraging seano to buy a link and some wax, tried on a balmain blazer i fancy, sprayed some man perfume on each hand to see which i prefer, tough work but someone's got to do it if we're to survive with style
now having a restorative bubbly in the cafe, coffee+biccie to follow, then see which hand wins with the nice armani privé lady, though i may succumb to the lure of another bubbly and eggs 'n' avocado on toast to annoy boomer-blaming cake stoppers
might do an email later, don't want to overdo things and cause an inflationary bubble

Morning. Busy day at work. Was going to ride in. Slightest hint of damp changed my mind. Mindset has shifted to CBA (again)
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Curry for dinner?

In the office again after an early start, got a big beef lasagne heating up as I'm peckish. Office idiocy levels seem to be quite moderate today thankfully.

Evening
Well it seemed like a nice day and the forecast said it was going to be dry but a tad windy. 20 miles out it started pissing down and the bit of wind was more like a Gale. 66 miles later and I’m feeling rather broken, so it was sit and watch the cycling while stuffing my face.
Not sure what rest of the evening has in store I was supposed to be going for a scan on my shoulder but that’s been cancelled.

No, and still no idea what did it... normally I've got guts of steel. Never had to do a risk assessment before of what to do when feeling suddenly decidedly faint mid-flow. (Sorry, TMI, but another one of those things they don't teach at school...)
