Under geared Wednesday
Flew to work like a flipping rocket this morning, almost spinning out. Raw power I tells you. Up yours car, up yours traffic! The usual, coffee, find somewhere to lie down etc.

Another cave day - quite busy as there's a fair bit going on at work and I need to Teflon desk quite a lot for stuff before my hols. A second coffee should give me the inspiration to delegate harder...

Turned out pretty warm and even a bit humid here. Spent the morning assessing new (used) bike, and was left wondering how many unintended deaths have resulted from the previous mechanic's handiwork.
Chain on back to front.
Incorrect chain rings.
Derailleur hanger bent a frikkin mile out of alignment
Shifter cables routed incorrectly
BB Cable guide badly installed, and cable not routed through it properly anyway
Rear brake calliper leaked oil all over the pads and disc
Front derailleur with incorrect cable routing
Front shifter borked - crimped inner wire, and other routing issues
Rear derailleur limit screws all wrong.
Incorrect rear derailleur for the cassette and crankset spacing
Rear tyre not seated correctly in rim bead. Inner tube very roughly patched and causing sidewall bubbles in tyre
Otherwise it's fine.

Morning
Todays Gerries ride was called off due to wind and most of us being light weights was comes to inclement weather, but sadly not lightweights other wise. Managed a turbo session which is the first time I’ve touched my bike in 2 weeks and surprisingly I felt shit.
Might go for a walk if I can find where my walking socks are hidden under all the decorators dust sheets.

Just smashed out 100 lengths in the pool, longest swim according to Garmin and it's probably true as my last watch overestimated by several lengths per session.

Never mind the desk-jockeys exercise bantz. This one has done a full day in the NTS garden with the volunteers and the trainees doing herbaceous beds seasonal clearing. I iz jeffed now. The post op road back to fitness will be looong...
