Home Security - Bike Specific

With the exception of getting an Asgard bike vault, what's the best option for a bike that's kept under a shelter but otherwise open to the elements? Is it a ground anchor and solid D-lock onto the rear chainstay (the bike is kept upright)?

I know there's pretty much nothing you can do if they bring along an angle grinder but for the generic crowbar/ cutters crew I'd like to be as protected as possible.

Alarmed lock? Take the front wheel into the house with you?

I used to work on site with guys who cut rebar with big bolt cutters (36" I think) and 12mm diameter bar was tough to cut, I don't think you'd fit 14mm into the jaws so anything bigger should be safe from croppers. That said, I doubt any scrotes bother with them anymore since battery grinders are so readily available.

There is a supposedly grinder proof D lock that I have seen on a motorbike website, it is HUGE but supposedly effective.
