Friday's meteorological thespians and gods conspire to amplify gloomy

Morning les Hérétique

I guess the 'ladies' plied SG with too much bubbly (which he paid for).

Gloomy dark black and windy.

Beans brought me a whole, live mouse to play with first thing. Bless him.

    Morning

A bit hectic here the moment with visiting children, grandchildren and dogs 🐩 which pleases Smartie the 🐈‍⬛ as he’s now got someone to boss. MiL’s funeral yesterday went ok and Mrs W managed to hold it together for the most part.

Today is a visit to the Physio.

What's this space age looking thing?

Exciting landing at Manchester last night then gridock on all the roads around the terminals.

Will add a photo to brighten things up shortly.

Forum playing ball today. Massive shop done, mostly booze, wifey in stress cleaning, cooking prep mode so will have to disappear with the kids soon.

good news from hospital. Removed moles need no further action.

It may be 'space age' but like Elon's $200m firework, it doesn't work.

    Now then, will this work?

And it's bleak grey and wet. Happy days.

    Wtf!?!

Couldn't comment earlier as it wouldn't let me sign in, now I'm signed in without doing anything.

In the orifice, supposedly finishing at 3, but hoping for earlier. Then got some errands to do before heading to a pub somewhere.

    Have a good day everyone

Congratulations TLW, hope you get the garden leave...

Busy day - dogs, shopping, washing bikes and car. Mate phoned to say he can't ride tomorrow now so solo pre Xmas spin around the lanes. Out for a steak and booze fest this evening with some mates in the party town that is Sevenoaks.

Grrr, that reminds me, bike is well over due a clean. Nice little ego boost before Christmas as son’s hairdresser (not mine!) was overtly pleased to see me earlier.

    Seano flirting with hairdressers eh?

Finishing a last few work bits here. Went out to buy beef, and we already have a turkey crown and a hunk of gammon. Cheese appeared in the delivery this morning. Nearly all set for festivities.

Turkey roast yesterday with all the trimmings but probably not a good idea to start in on the plonk before cooking as forgot to whack up the heat in the oven for the spuds when got the turkey out.

homemade sausage rolls were a success, traditional Polish Christmas Eve tomorrow as kids going away Sunday morning.

Replying to Seano's pissed up turkey dinner shenanigans.

It's traditional to fark something up due to tucking in early. I "ruined" a couple of expensive beef joints by forgetting about them. A probe thermometer sorted that out. Now I just forget the yorkshires/pigs in blankets/sprouts/pudding.

@pinno The last time I was out on my bike and had way too many bevies, every time I slowed down because of an obstacle or obstruction I lost my balance and fell over. Just couldn’t stay upright at low speed (=>5mph). I knew it was going to happen before it did, I just couldn’t stop it happening, a nightmare. 🚳

In the years at uni, I fell off my bike 7 times. The only time I fell off sober, I hurt myself.
